Music Used To Calm People Down
Maui:
Yea, their new CD is far better than the past ones. I dunno, i own a few of their CDs, but i just cant stand to listen to them for long, too light and happy or something.
Also, YAY for sp2 not launching into a long rant about coldplay. I think i speak for us all when i say thank you :-)

Been listening to too much T(I)NC lately, and that relaxes me. Coldplay still sucks the shit out of dogs' assholes.

I would like to draw your attention to this; if you take Dan's advice, only chill to these albums. If you try to sleep to any of AT's other work, you're going to wind up having nightmares where midgets chase you through the spaceship from Alien and attempt to clobber you with billy clubs.
Borondir:
Post black metal like Arcturus and Borknagar, or Enslaved's new stuff, is very good stuff to fall asleep too, though I've found that nearly any black metal turned down a little bit puts is good for bedtime. I like to fall asleep with Darkthrone playing quietly in the background. Doom bands that aren't death-doom, like Shape of Despair or Virgin Black, are also good for relaxing.

Reliant K is too sweet for my tastes...I just find the opne song relaxing.
I like Switchfoot, aethism be damned. Christian rock is a moot point...but Switchfoot is nice.
