I'm not listening! I want to savor the anticipation and not listen to this album in its entirety until I hold its jewel case in my hand. Ohhh yes. Sweet, sweet liner notes.
Garcin:
Well, jeez, I better not talk about how I just came back from the concert, and how Eleanor and Matt shared the grandmother role. Because that might totally ruin the experience for you.
So I'll just talk about how they played Blueberry Boat and Inspector Blanchflower at the end, but Matt kept joking around with the keyboard to hilarious effect; and how Eleanor is totally over her cold now; and how their punk rock version of Chris Michaels was possibly the best thing in the history of the world.
Hooolly Shiiiiit FF is completely insane live. Eleanor is a punk princess.

I saw them live too, and they played the new album in its entirety, but somehow I suspect the recorded version just won't sound quite the same. You know what I mean? ;)

That sounds wicked sweet. Goddamn I love this band.
Jarne:
They did Blueberry Boat for YOU, Moiche, but not for me? Harumph!
Joking around with his keyboard? Where the two keys still broken?
And yes, Chris Michaels live is the best thing ever. I was praying they would do it in two minutes or under, but I think it lasted about four and a half or so.
Garcin:
Not sure if keys were still broken, but he did some wierd shit with the mixer on top; so wierd and unrehearsed during Blueberry Boat that Eleanor cracked up once or twice. Like in between lyrics playing one note, or some bizarre techno assault sample from hell.
I knew their sound was way more punk live, but it was still wierd to experience it. It's sort of a kick in the ass to the people who thought that Blueberry Boat wasn't melodic enough. Also -- I cannot believe they booked Town Hall for that kind of sound -- it would have been even better if people had been standing and jumping up and down.
