öde:

Basically I think it is the worst idea due to the possibility of catching the ribbon on stuff.

Alex C:
The possibility of rejection's pretty high with piercings like that is fairly high too. I don't give a crap one way or the other though, honestly, but yeah, I dislike even wearing stuff that snags things easily.

VisualRhetoricProject:
Some piercings are just plain awkward.  I got my anti-tragus in 2006, and then my tragus in 2007, and it got to be really awkward having all that metal in the way when I needed to wear headphones or something.  I tried an orbit, but I ended up just taking my anti-tragus out.

ackblom12:
You do realize that the ribbon (called a corset piercing) is 99% of the time a temporary piercing right?

I've only seen 2 or 3 corset pieces that were intended for permanent placing, and they don't use Captive Bead Rings in those cases, nor is the ribbon on all the time.

ThePQ4:
I was reading about those on InkedNation awhile ago, and corset peircings should -never- be intended to be permant. A few days, to a month at most. Like Whipstich said, the rejection is more then likely. A lot of people like to try it just to see how it looks though.

However, I don't think I would pay a hundred+ dollars for something that I wouldn't/couldn't keep.

Also, why are we talking about peircings all of a sudden? This is the tattoo thread...
