Der Tattoo Thread.

Gemmwah:
I love that all the corset piercing pictures posted on this page are done with the ball closure rings, when really none of them should be. It's highly recommended that if you're getting them at all, don't use the rings because it leaves horrible scars and they lie awkwardly, so they're uncomfortable.

Anyway, back to tattoos.

next one i plan on getting. i might have to wait a while for it, but i don't mind. it'll stay the line drawing, and will probably go from my ribcage, down my side to my hip, with other bits to add in the future.

redglasscurls:
I actually think the corset piercings look pretty cool in that cringe-worthy ick sort of way. I'm glad to hear they're intended to be temporary though, because my first thought was "urg, when she gets old and fat, things are going to to WRONG"

VisualRhetoricProject:
Hah!  Luckily, with piercings, they can be removed a lot easier than tattoos.  I think that's why they are so common.  As for the lady tat above, it looks huge, and I'll race you to the tattooing on the rips, because I AM GETTING A MOTHER FUCKING DINOSAUR!

ackblom12:
Semi-Permanent is the best you can do, but I have seen a Corset that lasted for 3+ years last time i checked. Not sure if she still has it or not, but even then it was using Surface Bars, and she knows that at some point it WILL reject.

You also have to remember that it's not always just about how it looks. In many of the cases it's Play Piercing and Body Ritual.

Chastising something like that when you don't even know the slightest basic thing about it, such as the fact it's temporary, is pretty damn silly.

But yeah, tattoos!

Silly tattoos like the Finger Stache are actually some of my favorite kinds. People don't seem to understand that a tattoo doesn't have to be serious and meaningful all the time and it's great to see people get joke tat's.

That one for example, I think is downright groan worthy hilarious.

redglasscurls:
The thing about the finger 'stache is that it's a FAD, tons of people in Boston and probably other areas have them. And that's kind of lame.
