Artist isn't in till tuesday. Gonna get it done then. Still debating on whether to go interrobang or separated. I am leaning toward getting the separate ones with an interrobang in the middle somehow. Also, I've decided my torso is just going to be covered with punctuation.

Yeah, Tommy, her and I had a conversation about this before, we both had the ideas independent of each other. I am going to go with the exclamation and question mark for sure, getting the interrobang on my back maybe.

The tunnel is what I took out of my nose and the clear glass plug with no edges is what I put in. Much comfier and I can already feel my nostril easing down with the swelling.

Right now, I am really tempted to post some really graphic and horrifying pictures to you guys of my microdermal. Its all gross looking right now and gooey because it is being surrounded by decaying flesh. I'm allergic to adhesive, and had a bandage over it, and now my flesh is falling off!

I'm going to share something about tattoo etiquette that hopefully you guys already know, what with most of you being relatively sane people and all.

It is not cool to copy someone else's tattoos exactly, even if they are a big time celebrity. Hell, maybe especially if they are a big time celebrity. I say this only because I read an article today in which Kobe Bryant related an anecdote about the time he met a man who had the exact same tattoos as he did. Literally. This man had the names of Kobe's wife and daughters permanently marked upon his body.

There's actually some tremendously old-school pieces of flash art that I think are pretty OK even if it's something I'd never get (I'm unlikely to get tattoos in general anyway). But that Kobe story makes my skin crawl a little. It's a hard thing to make me feel a bit bad for a guy who makes millions of dollars a year and was once accused of rape, but apparently it's possible!

I'm not supporting what that guy did in anyway, but it'd be cool if that guy got his own wife's and kids' names tattooed the same way as Kobe's. I mean, if there was a celebrity that I absolutely loved, I guess I could see myself getting a tattoo like their's, if it was cool. I mean, maybe conbining the same elements and whatnot.

Ok so I know I'm really late posting these pictures but I don't have a camera and you know what I don't need to explain myself to you (read: I'm lazy and a little sensitive about it).

This is basically what it looks like. I say basically, I really mean exactly.

This was taken at about 20 seconds after I walked out of the shop. Clearly I am a bleeder.

That last picture is why I wasn't allowed on the bus. That photo was, as I said, about 20 seconds after I walked out of the shop. I got on the bus about 20 minutes later and it hadn't really stopped bleeding.

Guys, I am going to go get my ears pierced this weekend. I plan on stretching them a little bit, mostly because I am a huge fan of those carved stone/bone/shell earrings, so what is a good size to start out at? 14/16 seems really really small, but I don't want to go too big because I don't know how I'm going to react to the metal and if it goes badly, I don't want to have even more pronounced scars than I already do. (I had them pierced like 15 years ago and they kept getting infected, so I gave up.)

I mean, I've been doing my research on how to take care of them and things seemed to have gotten a LOT more pro-wedon'twanttoaggravateallergies. Also, if they start to heal ok, I'd like to switch out to glass to stretch with. I'm just not too sure at what size to start at. (I'm thinking of going up to a maximum of 0.)

6g - 8g is a good starting point if you don't want to go as large as 4 initiially. Just go with titanium and you shouldn't have any rection at all. Also, at 6 and 8, they might have glass plugs available for a fresh piercing.

So exactly how long do you have to wait until a tattoo can be in the sun?  I think I might wait til July to get my next one because I will be coming in to a good amount of extra money then, which would be better for me than going broke now.

You should really apply total sun block if your tattoo is going to be exposed to direct sunlight for a long period of time ( if you are sunbathing etc.) to prevent it from fading more quickly (and unevenly!). You shouldn't really put total sun block on while the tattoo is healing mind, because I imagine it's not the best thing for a wound.

This is what I was thinking.  My first one I will just be putting sun block on (I think my artist said nothing less than SPF 50).  But if I did get another one, I wanna know how long I'd have to wait until it can be in direct sunlight, since it is the summer and all.

Agreed. I mean, it's skin. Skin does odd things and different people have different tolerances. For example, I have rather clear skin, but it's only because I use very little soap indeed; the only acne scars I have from adolescence come from the time I followed the instructions on a "treatment". Also keep in mind that sometimes your health is already somewhat compromised when you recieve an injury to begin with and that can rather slow things down.

Yes, there is something valid to be said about removing the face's natural oils and how the face overcompensates and stuff, and how continuously touching your face is bad, too. But people, don't get under the impression that all you have to do is forgo soap, and all the pimples will go away.

Wash regularly, try not to overdo it, and you if you still have acne then congratulations! You're acne-prone!

I know this skin talk is kind of off topic, but I recently started dieting and working out, and my skin (though it has always been good, thankfully) really became smoother and clearer, even though I'm sweating more bc of working out.

But to get back on topic, I've got my idea set, made some money, and I'm going Thursday night to make my next tattoo appointment, no more procrastinating on this (I type this when i should be typing a paper  :| )

I've had my nips for a year and oh...two hours? (I got them pierced on my 21st birthday, so I remember the day.)  They were probably the least complicated piercings I've ever had.

Anyone who wants their nips pierced should go for it.  The fact that they are usually under your shirt means you're less likely to touch them, which is probably one of the main reasons piercings get fucked up.  (I paid $35 U.S. dollars for both.  They're pretty basic piercings, so I got an appointment with an apprentice.  Half price, oh yeah.)

I will second, shot glasses work really well for doing your salt soaks.  And seriously, do your salt soaks.  When I first started getting piercings I was foolish and didn't do them, and I'm lucky that those piercings survived.  Once I got smarter about aftercare, I had way fewer problems, and you really don't want problems when it comes to your nipples.

I found this nifty idea.

I spend about 4 - 6hours in balcony (you know fresh air and shit plus i can use my net in there too) and i starting to get a tan but hows this for a idea,

what if i cover some part of my body (maybe arm) somesort cloth or paper that is shaped like number or letter etc etc so i would get "tan tattoo"

again i dont make any sense but maybe this link would help you to understant what im on about

The picture they show is pretty cool, but I think you would have to lie there absolutely motionless for hours to make that work, so you don't disturb the design! Or they did it with a quick fake tan.

I have thought about that already my idea works like this

1. cover your body part with cloth/paper or what is the best choise
2. let you body get that sweet as tan
3. remove that cloth and bam you got natural tattoo

so put it simply is that cut small shape maybe 20 cm cross and somehow stick it against you skin (use glue or oh heck i dont know how you crazy fuckers do use)
you can do your every day things and end of that day your body is tanned allover but only thing is pale is that spot where you attached that shape you chose and now rip that shit off.
BAM next day every fucker is going to be over you asking "sweet jesus i think i just wet my pants because that is cool" or "are you god?"

this was the best way to use 400th post.
