Got my new tattoo today, it's totally sweet. It's starts at the bottom of my shoulder and it's just long enough that the end of the tattoo peaks out of my t-shirt. Yes

I'll try and get a picture to show you guys, might wait a bit till it's less bleedy and all that.

Also, turns out my tattoo artist is a pretty cool guy. He has a longboard and we ended up chatting about skateboarding and all that sort of thing. At the end he gave me a shot of the longboard. It is sooooo much fun. He has a spare deck and stuff so I might buy it off of him.

Monday i start the outline for my halfsleeve. Pirate ship on rough green water on the outside, old style pistol on the inside. It's going to be sick. I'm going to make him stick a squid in it somewhere.

Good tattoo yes? I'm really happy with it, the octosquid (i asked him to do a squid and he did an octopus but it looked cool anyways) is evil and the oldschool purple clouds are sick.

So, I figured out that I want a UV tattoo. And then I found out that they don't do them in Jamaica.

Depends on what you mean by abroad. If you are heading to Tijuana, I would say very unwise. If you are going somewhere in the US or Canada, just make sure you do some research on some nearby places to find somewhere you like.

Also, I have a tattoo with a lot of UV ink in it, and honestly, I have only seen it fluoresce probably 2 or 3 times in the 4(?) years that I've had it.

I have a question. I've looked at it on bmezine and I'm not sure if what I'm dealing with is covered there. What it (basically) is is tattoo scarring but it's not always raised. It's just every once in a while and even then on different places. Am I maybe having some sort of reaction to the ink(or anything else) or is it just straight up tattoo scarring that just sometimes decides to show?

My tattoo raises now and then too, I'm not sure if it is scarring or not, but it seems mainly to depend on the season/climate/temperature I'm in on how much it rises, if at all.

Mine are raised sometimes too. Right my the outline for my halfsleeve is really raised. I'm not sure why, I can feel every line in the tattoo and none of my others have done this. It's wierd.

Well, the suggestions depends on how far you plan on taking the stretching. What size range are you considering? Do you prefer steel/titanium or organic materials like Stone/Wood/Bone?

I'm thinking about getting my lip pierced. Can anyone confirm if it's going to hit my teeth a LOT? I realize it has the potential, but is it enough to ruin them?

It depends on the angle and placement of the piercing, and whether you wear a labret stud or a ring in it. I find that the ring doesn't touch my teeth whereas the labret stud tends to rub a little. It always has the potential to cause mega gum erosion and ruin your teeth it's just a case of getting it, seeing how it goes and if it causes a problem then you get rid of it, it's kinda impossible to tell which way it'll go.

Several different animals are possible. Water Buffalo, Ox or any other animal that ends up with a neat color when the bone is polished. Hell, I've seen jewelry made out of mammoth tusk. Keep in mind organic also includes stone and wood jewelry as well.

I have had one for nearly four years now, and it hasn't done anything to my teeth except make a very small, hardly noticeable groove on top of the tooth that I usually use to play with my ring.

Edit: It might be nice to know what type of ring and the gauge, wouldn't it? I have a 14 gauge captive bead ring.

Yeah, Jewelry can make a rather large difference. Once you get into the larger sizes for example, they start making plugs with backing specifically for the curve of your lip so it lessens the chance of contact by a ton.

You have been too quiet lately tattoo thread.

This is the tattoo I got done in May. I've only just gotten round to taking a photo of it. The blue ink didn't take incredibly well to my skin so some of the lines are a bit patchy and need touched up, and the colours are getting filled in a bit more as well.

Guys, next pay day I'm hoping to go get my second tattoo done. I really, really want something like this, because I'm big on acting and directing and stuff like that, y'know.

Obviously I don't want it to be exactly that design, but I have the artistic skills of a dead monkey, so what I'm basically asking is, hey, if you're artistic and stuff, can you like, do me a nice design to go on my wrist? I'd love you forever and if I ever make it big as a Hollywood director you can totally come to big parties with stars and be in a film or two and stuff, and if I ever see you in real life I'll totally give you a cuddle. I'm a really cuddly guy, so the cuddle should make the deal here, guys.

Also, bear in mind it might not be the design I go for, but even if you make one, I'll give you cuddles and stuff anyway, because it means you're totally rad and awesome enough to do something like that.

Since this thread seems to have grown to include piercings, I feel I can ask this here.

I've begun to consider getting a navel piercing. Not anytime soon, since I'm still waiting for the rook in my ear to heal. So my question is this: is there age limit to these things? Are navel piercings just for 16-year-olds who want to piss off their parents?

You are certianly not chubby in the mid section and it should work fine. Honestly, it's all in the jewelry choice as to whether or not it will fit your style or not. There is a surprisingly large selection so I'm sure you can find something that fits you pretty well. Also, no, there is no age limit on it. The clientelle for the piercings has gone up quite a bit in the last 10 years so no worries there.

You has a cute belly and I believe you could pull it off. But what kind of piercing? A ring? A stud? The dangley kind?

And I've got a couple ideas for tattoos myself, the are these..tell me what you think:

on my right side, vertically so "bliss" is the last word, down near my hip

on my left side, as pictured, without the underlining, just bellow my breast region

on the inside of my left wrist (without the background)

on the inside of my right wrist (also without the background)

And if I think of anymore I'll edit them in.
