I think I'd have to go up to an 8 if I want those unless for whatever amazing reason the shop I went to for my spirals has them in 10s. Considering all I have right now are the glass ones I got when my ears were done and the spirals I purchased a few months ago, I could use another pair.

Guys, how do you feel about Spy vs. Spy tattoos?

I did a quick GIS to see if they were a common thing and that revealed nothing. Are they played out? I simply can't tell if nobody has them or too many people do.

Also, which of these makes a better tattoo?

Second one. More symetrical.

Also I do not like that the page break is still Kiefer asking me about my feelings. He doesn't care about me really, he just uses me.

I definitely agree on the 2nd. More standout colors and it just looks a lot more fun and back stabbey. As far as being played out, I think everyone knows my opinion on that already, but I've seen a couple of spy vs. spy tattoos. Definitely not common from what I can tell.

Wait until Tax return season. Oh you just wait.

Definitely.  My most recent tax return (the first time I could call it tax return season) financed a tattoo, but it wasn't mine.  In return for financing the tattoo, though, I got a motorcycle, and I had much more fun riding than I ever could have wearing a tattoo.

I'm getting a tattoo on monday i think, even though it was supposed to be last week.

I want to do it on the inner part of my forearm, but I also thought of doing it on the inside of my bicep.  Here is the image:

Guys, how do you feel about Spy vs. Spy tattoos?

I was planning to get the second one, actually. Think I even mentioned it in this thread.

It's probably not gonna happen now 'cos I doubt I'll be getting any more tattoos once I leave and if I get any while I'm travelling it'll probably be for my dinosaur sleeve

Hope I'm not cramping your style, dude.

Now for logistics issues.

How would I get around the panel issue? Do square panels look awkward as tattoos? If not, where is the best placement for them? Do I try and find a full-body version of the image instead? Do I have the artist improvise and draw on the legs etc?

Do I include the red and black backgrounds if I go with the panel?

I've seen some panels look good, but something you can do is a fade on the background where it fades into your skin

I generally like vibrant, detailed, colorful, cartoonish tattoos.

I like the idea of a fade but that presents the lower body issue again.

EDIT: Oh wait

I think they would look good on the back of each leg/each forearm. As they are so striking I think a background would diminish the overall look of the tattoo.

I like images that should be together being split then when you put said body parts together etc. it adds a symmetry to ones body that science tells us isn't there.

Inside of your upper arm seems like it would be a good place for it. I'd put the background colours in as well with maybe a frame or something around it? Something simple, black line work or something around it would look cool.

Its how I started. Even if the inside of my lobe did split a few days ago. But it's all healed now! Just trying to keep the tapered taper in whilst I sleep is a pain now though, because I downsized and it's a bit loose but I don't want to put another layer on till the scabs gonnnnnne.

update: this is my first color tattoo and wtf sleeping was a bitch because it was all wet. I slept with a roll of paper towels next to me. The tattooist warned me it'd be very different and I wouldn't like it, but I didn't think it'd be THAT bad. On the plus side, he commended me like I was a puppy for sitting so well. So there we go, I've learned color tattoos hurt way less and also that they suck way more for healing.

Now that I've drooled over pretty much everything on Tawapa's site, I have noticed it's really hard to find smaller plugs. Anyone know any sites that have smaller double flares?

How small of a plug are you looking for? The smallest I have are acrylic 10g. Sadly, I cannot wear them yet, as I have been neglecting to actually work on stretching my lobes.

Looking on Tawapa's has made me want to continue stretching my ears, though! Probably going to have my piercer put in my 12g captive bead earrings tomorrow. The bead fell out of one a while back, so I went back down to my 14g earrings for a while. Gotta change that.

Those grey agate ones are perty.

What about these, these, these, or these?  I'm finding lots of stuff in 10s that are pretty nice.

I'm kind of regretting not just getting them pierced to 8, but oh well.

Mainly I'd just like to see them in person to make sure I am seeing the colors properly. There's nothing more disapointing than buying a pair of plugs online and just not getting the product you imagined. :(

I know I havn't gotten my Alice tattoo yet (currently saving for a sexy beach holiday in a 4.5 star resort with the boy in March, but I will have accommodation monies sorted right after Christmas, then I can divide between saving for spending monies and my tattoo) but I am thinking of my next one anyway.  I would like to get this on one of my shoulder blades, eventually.

It is Ruby and Doom Kitty from the cartoon Ruby Gloom and every time I see it in the start sequence I want it on my shoulder blade.  Aaron and I watch Ruby Gloom every morning before work!  It makes me so happy.  I like all the swirly bits in this image.

It will be a long time before I get around to getting it but I liiiike it so much.

I dont even use o-rings when stretch, but I'm doing it awkwardly by taping a taper instead of use a plug to taper with, which means I have a 14mm pluggy bit with a 5mm spike stuck out the back all "ohaither"

Tibetian agate, Indian bloodstone, blue tiger eye, amazonite, and ocean jasper.
