Decima:
Yeah, so, I feel sorta stuck musicly right now, and need something new on my ipod to feel true bliss again. And, by that, I dont mean new "a new band", but "a new musicstyle"! Right now Im intrested in these:

Heavy Djungle:
Ive been listening to Drum n Bass and some Djungle alot lately, but nothing really heavy and blazin (blazin is a word, right?). On destroyer.net, a awesome internetradio-station, I heard some really crazy stuff by some band called Audio1 9 21 05, and I want more like it. Somewhere between Djungle and DnB, with drums like machinegunfire and a baseline mean enough to scare Darth Vader. Got any tips?

Psychobilly:
So what is this, anyway? First I thought it was something forumpeople hade made up so that they could say that they listened to it, but today I had a cool substitute in physics who talked about it. Very wierd things plays in my mind when I try to imagine psycadelic rockabilly. Name of bands thats doing this?

Acid Jazz:
Is so cool. My friend had a DJ set on his computer with just acid jazz, and it kicked ass (yeah, Teh Rhyme!). Sadly enough thou, he didnt know the names of the artists. So, what are the coolest guys doing acid jazz called?

Ska:
Ive been listening alot to Dub and a bit to Reggea, but I havnt heard any Ska. Artists?

PS. Acutally, Audio1 9 21 05 is still on destroyer. Its under electronica in itunes. DS

ImRonBurgundy?:
well, as for ska, i think the original Jamaican stuff is a definite must.  The Skatalites, Prince Buster, Desmond Dekker & the Aces, etc.  if you can find any of the Trojan Records box sets, by all means, pick one up.  Moving along chronologically, the British two-tone bands, like Madness, The Specials, and The (English) Beat are all good.  and then if you feel the need to move into the sometimes awesome, sometimes maddeningly annoying world of third-wave ska/ska-punk, i would recommend Fishbone, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Operation Ivy, The Pietasters, Streetlight Manifesto, and maybe about 50-75% of the songs The Planet Smashers have ever recorded.  however, there are also some third-wave ska bands that i would recommend avoiding at all costs, such as Save Ferris, Buck-o-Nine, Goldfinger, and usually Less Than Jake.  also, if you're looking for a really eclectic and quite frankly amazing ska band, you can't go wrong with the Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra.

The Meteors are probably my favourite old-school Psychobilly band, and indeed the first psychobilly band ever, I think. A lot more psychedelic than most of the psychobilly I listen to, which is generally more modern American stuff, notably the most popular practicioners, Tiger Army and The Reverend Horton Heat, both much loved bands in my collection. Also, try The Ghastly Ones, because they're just really cool.

Can't really help you on any of the others, unless you're interested in speedcore as well as djungle, in which case it is essential you check out the discs the lead singer of the industrial DM band 'The Berzerker' released under the name 'Berzerker'. Good stuff in my book. I don't know much about the area apart from that, although some of my own music is probably around this area (500 bpm is the coolest bpm evar!).

noise_wave:
Acid Jazz? Get into some Big Band Jazz. Try checking out The Four Brothers, or The Woody Herman Big Band, or try some good old fashioned Duke Ellington. Even better, check out the New York Ska Jazz Ensemble. They are pretty damn awesome.

Bunnyman:
Duke is a pimp.  Smooth, sassy, sophisticated, and cool.

Fletcher Henderson and other seriously oldskool Jazz is badass.  Then again, it may be because whenever I hear "There'll Be Some Changes Made" I think "Road To Perdition" or "Mafia."

As for D&B, give Photek a shot.  While we're on the subject of cool, Photek is impossibly cool, especially Modus Operandi.  Form and Function is a collection of singles/EPs that is awesome as well, but Modus flows together as an album.  Dark, consistent, flowing themes.  Great driving music.  Also seek out the song "The Third Sequence" that Photek did for the Wipeout 2097 soundtrack.  Veers almost into Industrial, that one does.

Source Direct takes the Photek structure and makes some of the most rediculously hard beats yet created by man.

Psychobilly - The Phenomenauts.  Their official genre is "Sci-Fi Rocket Roll."  Lots of goofy fun.  And in the same vein, check out Man or Astroman!.
