"(angry fast-paced tune in A minor)" - Internationally Acclaimed

I wrote this song and I still can't work out a fecking title. It's blues and it's about a girl being stupid, like most blues songs. Any suggestions would be welcome via private message.

Yeah, seriously. I mean, I don't know about you, but I'd much rather listen to some bitchin' doom metal over Coheed and Cambria. Because they're pretty much all the nerdiness of prog without any of the ball-busting awesome to make it any good.

Megadeth - Hangar 18

I'm thinking about if I ever get a band together, learning both this and Call of Ktulu and merge them together, because they're basically just the same damn song.

Ah, but do you like ALL kinds of music? From Vakojazzana to Porno-Grind? From electro-humppa to tropicalia via musique concrete, post-industrial and skacore? Despite  your noble intentions, such eclecticism would probably be possible whilst having anything resembling taste whatsoever.

Rather, I would say that I have no inherent preference for Genre.  If I hear something that I immensely enjoy, I don't really care what the style of the music is.

If there exists such a genre that there are no songs in it that I enjoy, perhaps it might be appropriate to say that I dislike that genre of music, although that would preclude the creation of a song in that genre that I might in fact like.

I used to think that I didn't like some genres, Hip-Hop for instance, then I found Hip-Hop that didn't suck.

I just don't think it's all that big a deal if someone doesn't have a particular favorite or favorite set of genres.  I think of it more like being a fan of Cinema.  You appreciate greatness no matter its trappings.

I should want to make it clear that I'm by no means the most devoted Music fan.  I love Music, but I don't devote much time to deeper knowledge of it aside from the odd historical floatsam here and there.

That said:

Nostalgia 77 - Cheney Lane

edit: Actually, it occurs to me there may be a Genre of music made specifically called Anti-Danno, consisting ONLY of music I dislike.

Now listening to:

Seka Gong Abdi Budaya - Khayalan Tiga
This Gamelan stuff is pretty good once the song gets going.

I really love this band but they have or rather had(they sadly do not exist anymore) one problem.
Their lyrics go from good to mediocre and a bit clichéd. It is americana(or nordicana since they are danish) so perhaps this is not such a big issue.
However it is what makes them "merely" good and not fantastic.
But you can't deny that they have an amazing singer in Camilla Munck.
Besides Kurt Wagner from Lambchop loves them, if that is any indication.

Edge of Sanity - Enigma

This song rocks out in so many ways.

Preacher: "Confess your sins to God, don't be afraid!
Just like me of flesh and blood you're made.
I can heal your wounds and cleanse your soul,
but never return all those lives you stole."
Witch: "YOU CAN BURN IN HELL!"
Priest: "God gives you shelter at heavens shore.
Abandon your thoughts to the mighty.
Into the chapel of holyness,
live for the sacred empire...
Engenderrrr theeee eeeenigma..."
The Unorthodox: "Sacerdotal majesty, a recreant nonentity?
Do you remember when you said:"
The Priest: "I can heal the dead."
The Unorthodox: "Paroxysmal ecstacy, dementia or deity?
Sapless you are crawling, to confess your sins!"

Pretty fucking good spiritual dialogue for a seventeen year old Swede.
