Quote from: KharBevNor
Have you got 'Death of the West'. It's not even REALLY a proper album, more sort of things that didn't fit in anywhere else (some new tracks, some alternate versions/re-recordings, some live stuff, and so forth), but I totally love it, and it has a lot of my favourite SI tracks on it. My personal best of is:

Kneel to the Cross
Come the Morning
Sawney Bean
Come, Join the Dance
Death of the West
Sheath and Knife
The Devil's Steed
The Praties Song
The Hill of Crosses
Michael
Here Am I
Our Lady of the Wild Flowers
The North Ship
God Told Me To
Twa Corbies
December Song

A hard task to pare it down, and it's very much weighted to a few albums.

And after all that:

Sol Invictus - Sawney Bean

Damn, I love this band.

Actually, I dont have any of their albums original, just because I cant find it anywhere here and because my credit card is limited to israel. I mean, if I have truble finding Mogwai albums here, there is no way I'll find any SI stuff. And I looked everywhere.
I still need to check if The Eastern Front could order me some through Tursa. I still need to contact them about that The Devil's Steed copy they have.
SI is probably one of the best bands ever.

Do you listen to Agalloch, btw? Very Sol Invictus inspired prog metal band, also influenced by groups as widepsread as Swans and Pink Floyd. Very good stuff.

Y Control by The Yeah Yeah Yeahs

I wish they had more than 2 albums (although the internet seems to show that they have more I can't find them around here.)

Actually, I've been kind of drowning for something new to listen to.  The Yeah Yeah Yeahs came along at just the right time.  Can anyone suggest something to me that sounds similar to:

Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo
They Might Be Giants
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Helloween
Stratovarius*

Time passes and you must move on,
Half the distance takes you twice as long
So you keep on singing for the sake of the song
After the thrill is gone

Rings kindof true for me these days.
