The Able Tasmans - "What Was That Thing?"

One of the bands most representative of the Dunedin Sound of '80s New Zealand; Flying Nun Records, all that. The main riff sounds almost grungy, particularly when you look at it in comparison to other Dunedin Sound tunes, like the Clean's "Tally Ho!", which involves a really screechy keyboard riff.

I'm not a huge fan of this song, just because it seems so bloody emo.  Maybe the video will make it seem less so.

BLISSFUL

Quote from: amok

- Singer cutting herself on stage
- Crazy goths in front row drinking blood from her open wounds
- Burning a picture of the recently-deceased pope
- Burning a crucifix (2 separate occasions)

Dude, never go to a Profanatica concert.

- The band wears nothing but corspepaint and cattle blood
- pissing, spitting, eating, shitting, vomiting worms into and cumming on the bible
- Constant crucifix burnings.
- crucifix shoved up singers ass and then shitted out onto a pile of burning bibles

etc.

See, I have to wonder how that is at all enjoyable for anyone concerned. What kind of people enjoy that kind of show?

No, but I should pick it up before I go see 'em in a couple of weeks.

Though, to be frank, I have it on good authority that both Edgecrusher and Piss Christ are on the set-list this tour, so the new album can probably go fuck itself :P

It's just such a shame they'd never play T-1000 or Big God/Raped Souls live.

It also has the original LP version of Self Immulation.
