my favorite song is Pink Moon by mr. Nick Drake

excellent song, but if I was going to pick a favourite Nick Drake song it would be a toss-up among Man in a Shed, Black Eyed Dog, and Pink Moon.

Because that's a question I find impossible to answer, I'll just list a few that would at least be on my top 50.

The Beatles - I Will
Red House Painters - Have You Forgotten
Wilco - Pot Kettle Black
The Arcade Fire - Rebellion

I'm gonna have to say The Final Countdown, by Europe.

I love songs that are so bad they're good.

Originally I thought "I could never pick just one, there are hundreds or even thousands of songs out there and I couldn't imagine one really rising above the rest."

I was wrong, though; it's "Jungleland" by Bruce Springsteen.

The first one is FUCKING AWESOME. Best song ever, I don't think so, but certainly the best Christmas song ever. Was very surreal at group practice last week when me and a mate played this through randomly. In a CHURCH.

As for Buckley - I dunno. It's a great song, but it's a cover, and I don't think he's done that much with it either.

I can't stand Leonard Cohens voice when he sings Hallelujah. But when Buckley sings it,especially on live recordings,it doesn't give you tingles inside. Everything just shuts down appart from your ears so you can fully appreciate it.

If you continued to read then you would see that I was emphasising the impact his voice has, because it does more that give you tingles.

I believe the way to clarify that is to say "his voice doesn't just give you the shivers..."

Good grief. The first time someone mentions Counting Crows on here, and they list the worst song they've ever done. I mean, really. ;)

Round Here, A Long December, All My Friends, Rain King... These are the ones you should be mentioning. :)

They put out a lot of rad shit in the early nineties.  Life of Agony.  Obituary.  Suffocation.  Other stuff.

I will pick one song and only one song.  No one has heard it.  It's been my favorite song for probably 5 years now.
