Band Suggestions? Prominant w/ Piano
« on: 19 Nov 2005, 20:42 »

I was looking at the thread on the piano and it got me thinking.
I'm really liking songs where piano is the more dominant instrument.
Any suggestions for bands to look at?

Know of Ben Folds (Five).  Anything else?

Mostly some of the more mellow/acoustic stuff, but any suggestions would be great.

Thanks

Well, there's always good ol' Jerry Lee.

Apparently there's also a band called Hugo

The new Vashti Bunyan album has a few really excellent piano songs. Listen to Turning Backs and Feet of Clay at least....two of the best songs I've heard this year.

I get my piano fix from Son, Ambulance.  "Key" is a very pretty album and a good starting point.  They're on Saddle Creek.
