Honestly, I had no idea whatsoever that Skinny Puppy was from Canada. I never would have guessed.

without reading the rest of the replies (forgive me), good Canadian bands/artists:

The Most Serene Republic
The Planet Smashers
Chris Murray
King Apparatus

Didn't even know half of them were Canadian, but gosh darn it, they're good.

The 1970's was great for Canadians, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, and the Band.  The New Pornographers are also Canadian, despite having that whole british power pop thing going on.

Really? badass.

but the music sucks because the keyboards don't have the cold/mechanical sound they had but a wannabe techno sound that it's pathetic for Rammstein standars.

Submission Hold
The Swarm
Acrid
Left For Dead

It really shouldn't have taken so long for those amazing bands to come up though, everybody should love The Swarm. One of the all-time greatest straight edge outfitss, and Submission Hold are one of those rare bands who defy categorisation (except maybe as 'anarcho as shit').
