Bands that have grown on you..
M3gaBigh:
Fall Out Boy - I really love this guys now, at first I couldn't stand them however, they drove me nuts.
Modest Mouse - At first I thought they were really country and it kinda got on my nerves. After listening a bit more I liked it more and more.
Kings Of Leon - As above. I saw them live last weekend and they were so awsome.
Maximo Bean:
I used to hate coldplay.
Now I love them.
narutard:
Radiohead. I felt the same about Hail to the Theif, but I've matured a little since then, and it hasn't left my stereo in a good while.
Coldplay. I've always figured that I should give them a listen, from the radio singles I've heard, but only recently have I worked up the effort to download them. Mostly motivated by 'Talk' live at the Grammys. Albsolutely beautiful.
Oasis. The singles (Lyla, Wonderwall) REALLY put me off. I mean, those are god-aweful songs. But enough recomendations pushed me over the edge, and now I guess I like them.

I would have to agree with this. At first, I wasn't really "getting it", but after listening to their album(s) a few times, they really grew on me :) I had the same experience with Death Cab as well...

Death Cab was rather an unusual band to like, some of their were brilliant, like the 405, which caught my attention, and I Will Follow You To The Dark, however, I'm still at a stage that I'm not yet 'getting it'
The Arcade Fire was pretty good, quite strange as well, especially with the 'Neighborhood' tracks.

There's nothing to "get" with I Will Follow You Into the Dark. It's just a nice, simple, heartfelt acoustic song. And the only standout on their blah new album.
We Have the Facts was PEAK, man. PEAK.
Field Fire:
It took me quite a while to get into the whole genre of post-rock. At first I found it all boring, but now I love the stuff.
Also, when I first got Broken Social Scene's You Forgot It In People I didn't think it was all that good and now I love it. It took me a little while to get into Wolf Parade, too. And it took me ages to get into The Double.
But, unlike most other people, I fell in love with Neutral Milk Hotel on first listen, and I still love them just as much today.
