--- Quote from: nescience ---Just learn the bassline from Nirvana's "Come As You Are" on guitar and you'll be set for life.
--- End quote ---
Thats the only thing I ever learnt on guitar. I was damn proud of myself.
TrueNeutral:
I wasn't proud of myself when I learned that. More like... angry at myself because at some point I was a stupid kid who thought Kurt was the best guitarist ever.
nescience:
Oh whatever, Come As You Are is like the Stairway to Heaven for budding guitarists born in the late 70s to mid 80s. There's nothing like hearing a 26 year old dude play it super-loud on a $3000 Les Paul through a Marshall stack while you're (for some reason) browsing the Guitar Center. To me, that's almost as big a cliche as, well, the Les Paul through a Marshall stack.
Narr:
First thing I learned to play on the guitar was Enter Sandman. It's not very difficult, so good for learners. (I am not talking about the solo, obviously, because I just don't think I'd ever be able to do pretty much anything relatively tricky on the guitar.)
TrueNeutral:
The first thing I learned was Modest Mouse' Dark Center of the Universe, and let me tell you, if you play that all day long really fast without having fingers that are used to it, it FUCKS with your hands like mad. Blisters!
