In other news, I still haven't got my camera so I can't show you the photo of my cat with one eye closed like a pirate, but I'm worried about her. Other than infection (there isn't one) or muscular problems, what reasons can there be for a cat to keep one eye shut? She can open it, she just doesn't.

Ahaha yeah! I've only been doing it for little over a year now, it started when I wanted to start learning how to spin poi but people suggested hooping to me as a starter thing. I really use whatever is available, I'm in between having a hoop I like because I gave all mine to my sister before she moved. I however can make my own! So when spring rolls around I'll probably make new ones(it's too cold now). I really really like huge hoops, I'm not so much for smaller ones(probably because I am quite lanky and it is hard to get my limbs through small hoops if I'm trying to transition body parts)

Also, I do most of my hooping at fun events! I think some of these are reposts but..

My newest obession is doing poi-style hooping with twins. The tubing I'm using is much too fucking heavy, but you live and learn. And I guess if you can do it with super-bulky hoops, you can surely do it with light ones! I like smaller ones because the music I hoop to is usually pretty fast and I found that slowing down for larger hoops was distracting for me.

Anyway, here's my LED hoop. Sloppy work, but mostly just trying out effects.

Nope! I found it in my aunt's house when her son graduated from high school. It's from Curves, and it's heavy. See how it's got those weird bumps on the inside? I have no idea what the point of them are, but they kind of hurt.

Fire Poi!

I love poi. I suck a bit though. I tried devil sticks and diabolo and sucked even worse at those, so I'm sticking to poi. I mean, I can spin poi and not hit myself in the face or groin, whereas with devil sticks and diabolo i tend to hit myself in the face and groin simultaneously.
