Nah angry basement dwellers just don't like change, they'd through a huge bitch fit even if you gave them what they wanted (which could possibly be this reboot). Burn, burn, burn. It gives them something to do with their lives where other people would study or create.

In other random tidbit news, Lian Harper is also getting retconned out of existence for the DCnU.

So, according to Dan Didio, all these Superman changes are to make him more accessible to the public.

http://www.newsarama.com/comics/dcnu-didio-lee-explain-superman-changes-110718.html

Lolwut?

Isn't that exactly what they did with Smallville? I mean, not exactly but more or less the same theme and growing from adolescent to adult angst? -sigh-

The best thing about Red Arrow's costume is that he doesn't have that stupid 90's tech Robotic arm Robinson and Krull gave him.

And in other news, remember when I said Sinestro is back in GL Corps? Apparently he's also the Green Lantern for Earth's sector in the reboot. As opposed to Abin Sur, you know, who has always been the GL for Earth's sector prior to Hal/Guy/John/Kyle.

I need a drink....

I actually don't mind this, apart from a 3/4 year of mostly wheel spinning I'm happy to just let Johns and Mahnke do their thing.

Well, I was incorrect in assuming Sinestro was replacing Abin Sur. Sinestro replaces Hal as the Earth Sector GL as per the choice of The Guardians (meaning Hal is Sinestro's backup).

And the rumor mills are flying about that it is Hal, not Sinestro, that creates the Yellow Lanterns in the reboot. Again, that's a rumor.

I don't know what's going on SirDudley, but for some reason that Link just hangs on me when I click on it.  I just get a 'White Screen of Death' and it just won't load no matter how long I wait.

http://www.toplessrobot.com/2011/08/crisis_on_infinite_reboots_the_commercial.php

DC has released a commercial advertising the reboot. Except it's just a bunch of pictures of DC heroes and makes no attempt to explain why the reboot is happening or give any other details. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if the music used here is generic stock music.

And once again, DC screws up something so simple to execute. *facelandmine*

Didn't they learn from the recent Comics Alliance article showing their terrible 90's commercial?

Also, Justice League Dark cast

here's this

probably nothing there you nerds didn't already know, but i don't keep up with this kind of thing so it was nice to see some facts and opions on the actual lineup and stuff

might actually consider picking up one or two of those, now that i have fully committed to the nerd lifestyle and moved back in with my parents  :|

Another DC marriage is now retconned out of existence in the DCnU: the marriage of Barry Allen and Iris West.

Eh. It's not really all that important to the character.

Anyways, this week:
ACTION COMICS #1 (God of comics + young blue collar superman, yay!)
ANIMAL MAN #1 (Lemire seems like a good fit for this and I really like Animal Man. Buddy Baker is still married and Maxine has a connection to the Red.)
BATGIRL #1 (Pro: Gail Simone. Con: Not Steph. Pro: Gail Simone is one of the best writers active)
BATWING #1 (Real world guy is writing this  :|)
DETECTIVE COMICS #1 (Tony Daniel is on 'Tec so it'll be like his Batman, the writing seems pretty bad: "[The Joker's] modus operandi changes with the wind ...and it's been windy in Gotham.")
GREEN ARROW #1 (JT Krul writes Queen as a loose canon international Batman, expect this to suck)
HAWK AND DOVE #1 (Hey guys, you know what'll sell like hotcakes? Liefeld [lol, spell check thought I failed at typing 'lifeless'])
JUSTICE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL #1 (been there, done that)
MEN OF WAR #1 (I like war comics and Viking was rad)
OMAC #1 (Dan DiDio is not very good at anything and Giffen has his moments but his pencils are a little dated)
STATIC SHOCK #1 (Scott McDaniel is to cartooning what Greg Land is to photo referencing. On the plus side, John Rozum is writing.)
STORMWATCH #1 (Paul Cornell integrates the best of Wildstorm into the DCnU, not a children's book, 'nuff said.)
SWAMP THING #1 (Scott Snyder + Yanick Paquette. Snyder is one of the best things at DC, period. Paquette's pencil are to die for.)

The way Batgirl is standing there looks like it's excruciatingly painful on her left knee.  Fucking ow.

David Finch hails from the same school Liefeld pioneered and Lee dropped out of.
At least Finch's art looks tolerable compared to Liefeld.

So I am pretty disappointed with my two pics this week

Blue Beetle was mostly prologue and I don't like what they did with Paco. The story was fine in Red Hood but I hate what they did to Starfire.

http://www.toplessrobot.com/2011/10/crisis_on_crisis_on_infinite_reboots_the_crisis-en.php
All previous Crisis events never happened.

Except that Hawk & Dove #1 makes a reference to Crisis on Infinite Earths.

DiDio's response to that? They were talking about ANOTHER Crisis, not CoIE. Nor Zero Hour. Nor Identity Crisis. Nor Infinite Crisis. Nor Final Crisis. Basically, DiDio is talking out of his ass.

I so look forward to his appearance at NYCC. It will be...."interesting", to say the least.

This comment mainly coming from a huge and biased Batman nerd...

But the Batman reboot is awesome. Seriously. The idea that Damian Wayne, Bruce's son, gets to be his Robin? That's all new kinds of win right there.

It's great to see the Bat Family together again.
