Penny was never employed at a pizza place, Pizza Girl was/is. Penelope had a job at a bookstore being ogled by the manager.

Actually, that's a point; what do you suppose the CoD crew would do to him should he ever turn up? The place can't be too far away if penne-lope was stopping there on her way home….

Yeah, but it's important to have options.

Penny was never employed at a pizza place, Pizza Girl was/is.

As a (future) scientist, the only viable option for me is the space station. SPAAAAAAAAACE! (yes, that was a portal joke)

Second place would be The Horrible Revelation, though.

So many people voting Space Station  :psyduck: Why? It requires a lot of exercise, you are locked up with the same 200 people or so and you cannot get out. Sure, the view is great, and you get bragging rights, but otherwise I fail to see the appeal.

It does lack a certain atmosphere, but I think I could make myself useful on the station. I'd volunteer for a lot of EVA window cleaning duty.
Failing that, Earthside ground support for Spaceship.

Because Victorian gentlemen have a certain air of British dignity, old chap about them. It's hard to be dignified when you're bouncing around on a space station in zero gravity. :P

I have no such dignity, so I would be happy to be, e.g. a janitor on the space station or something. That'd be awesome. (It's about the only thing I would qualify for up there. Probably every other job involves literal rocket science.)

Jim is 40 (41 now).

The only clues I could gather from Dora's parents age wise is her dad goosed Nancy Regan while she was the First Lady. Or am I not getting the query right?

Jim's only 41, assuming he's had that birthday he was talking about.

Depending on Veronica's age when Marten was born, if she was mid-twenties as he is now, she's be late forties / early fifties.  Could be pushing 60, though, if she were early 30's when Marten was born.

How did Jim and Dora's folks wind up involved?   Focus, people, focus!

I also picked the space station, since I consider myself  as a future scientist, too. I'm surprised so few people picked CoD, though. That would definitely have been my second option. Or maybe the library.
As for Jim and Veronica: I sort of don't see that happen. And that has absolutely nothing to do with age difference. I mean, how would they happen to meet if Marten does not want to participate in setting them up (which I in his situation certainly would not do).

I chose the space station, seeing as how I'm a scientist and all, although being a theoretical physicist, there's not really any reason for me to be in space other than the cool factor. Come to think of it, though, microgravity might not be the best for skirt-wearing, and I do so very much enjoy skirts. Perhaps I should reconsider.

Team Space Station here, I'm sure Lt. Potter's security team can find a use for me. "Orbital Designated Marksman" I like the sound of that. If not I'll go work for Hannersmom, selling your soul out pays surprisingly well, and we have similar aesthetic tastes. (Make a pile of human skulls)

In other news, oh what a tangled web we weave jephizba! Martin you might end up with a step sister in her /teens/ out of this! Can you really risk it? Can you really take the chance? There's only one option new friend. You have to kill the little one and dispose of the body before her idea spreads further.

That aside Martinmom is A. hot and B. awesome, so I can't see Jim not being up for that.

Till the whips come out any way.

Ohhh, me too! Theoretical physicist, I mean. Aspiring mathematical physicist, in fact, though still a student. What do you do?
I still think the space station is a good idea, because there are so many apparently excellent scientists around to exchange ideas with. Some of them actually seemed to be theorists.
(Little anecdote on "scientists" I just thought of: In the application for my master's degree, I accidentally typed scientits. Almost would have submitted it like that, too! Luckily, I still noticed.)

Edit: Fixed typo.
