A) It's not a furcon. I am not Little Bo Peep.
B) The chemise obscures the Boob Shelf thing that corset does. Edit: like this, but, y'know, less.
C) My breasticles are not that big so there is not a whole lot to smoosh, but it is not actually uncomfortable either way.

So a while back I bought some $300 Jeffrey Campbell boots I was in love with, they arrived and had broken zippers? Well solestruck.com refunded me and told me to keep them and I just got them back from repair. The repair cost me $50.

I love these so much. SO MUCH. And yes, I had to stand on my chair to get a photo with my webcam because I don't own a full length mirror.

Fashion thread! I am going to a dinner on Friday and need to wear a pretty dress, but all my pretty dresses are in storage or got stolen so I bought some more!

I will only be keeping one of them (yay for ASOS free returns) but it'll depend which one looks best when they arrive and I try them on. In the interim, what do you think? I'd have preferred that first one in dark blue but they didn't have any left.

You look awfully different in each picture. That's amazing.

No but really: the flowery one is pretty nice, but I think my favourite is the one below it with the high neck and the high waistline (if that's what that is, at that height?)

The white one is pretty, but I don't like where the waist sits - is that an actual seam there, at her navel, or am I seeing things? If it had an empire seam it would be awesome, you could wear a cute little belt with it. Or no waist seam at all would be even better.

I think the bottom right one looks best in those pictures, though I can't say I like the collar. Bottom left is second, and the floral looks very 90s to me. But could still be super cute in person.

Bottom-right is the cutest. Colour's great and the collar kind of fits!
Flowery one would work well also, and would actually be more versatile regarding the events you'd want to wear it.
Bottom-left one looks classy, but I don't know. I think I don't like the way the model's wearing it.
White one is also cute, but not the best.

Bottom right is nice but the empire waist (if that is indeed what it is called) makes basically everyone look weird and pregnant (YES I AM SAYING PREGNANT WOMEN LOOK WEIRD).

Bottom left I can get behind, the top right is nice and the floral one is definitely you.

first thought is flowery dress would work with you. Second thought is bottom-left is favorite. Third though is this is all wild conjecture until you see how they look on you! Fourth thought is how novel it is that I ate a donair at like 11:00 so I don't feel the craving for pizza now at 3:00! Fifth thought would be too many thoughts to have, really now.

Just by the pictures I'd say the ones on the right are winners. What kind of dinner is it?

And ASOS, a great site until you realise you're a man. Fake preppy t-shirts with made up colleges of various states of America isn't really my thing.

ASOS is great if you're a tall lanky guy like me, however, because they're the only company that cuts their jeans for my body type and lists them for less than $100/pair.  28/32 arghhhh.

Wow, yeah that is strange. I think I might be the exact opposite! 32/28? or more likely 32/30. I generally favour "short" jeans, however many inches long they are.

Nice to know ASOS can pull through for guys too, although the USA stock might be a bit nicer than what we get here.

Yeah, that's how mine are, the pockets are stitched in white, and the rest is copper. I think the finish is "Clean Rigid".

Pretty much exactly what I got. I think I'm going to want to get another pair eventually, maybe in black. I might have to order those, though. I got some in 32x36 that are a bit loose, 31x36 would probably fit me better, but people don't carry many 31 waists, let alone that length.

Well those dresses arrived! Here are the conclusions:

White dress: you are too tight, white dress (not your fault but there is no time to get a bigger size) and also your sleeve seams are weird. Who puts the seams at the top and bottom instead of the sides?

Flowery dress: you are beautiful, but two inches too short and also my mother thinks you are too revealing (my mother is wrong, but nonetheless she thinks so). You have an odd breast-seam and an unexpected halter-neck which I really like but have no bras to go with.

Strappy brown dress: You are very pretty! Possibly the most creased dress I have ever seen but that is ok! I can iron! I don't, but I can! For you I will!

Brown dress with collar: You win the "Most Disappointing Dress" prize. I look like a nun when I wear you. Perhaps you should only be worn by size 8 black-haired models because you sure suit them but not size 12 blonde haired mes.

Strappy brown dress you are the winner! You will look cute with a little blue shrug cardigan and my red platform wedges if I can find them.

The dinner is technically black tie, which really means satin or silk or some other kind of posh fabric, but I will get away with it if I wear heels. If any pictures are taken I will show you the end result! My camera has died a sad death of lostchargeritis.

Now that you've said you look bad in it, I'm really glad you didn't decide on the collared dress. I really don't like it...

But if it's black tie, I think the dress you're going with is definitely the best out of the four!

Seemingly only 1 in about a thousand people can pull of the collared dress look. I have a friend who always wears sort of vintagey stuff. When I see it on the shop mannequins, I think "Man, anyone who wears that will look about 89" but she always pulls it off, probably better than she could pull off "trendy" clothes.

Target has shitty target snack bar, not a full blown subway sandwich shop right there in the store. Also, its a hell of a lot easier to find a wal-mart than a target.

Sometimes I have to go to two grocery stores to find organic/local eggs instead of factory farm/battery cage ones. It's kind of a pain in the ass but not enough of a pain to validate ignoring all the horrible things those companies do just for a bit of convenience and two dollars off my grocery bill.

I can't shop for clothing at Target at all - their plus size section is maybe one rack, two if I'm lucky. And none of it fits properly. I dislike Wal-Mart in general, and that story only makes it worse, but I have few other options if I don't want to spend $50 on a pair of pants like at Ashley Stewart, Fashion Bug, Torrid, or Lane Bryant.

That situation is also the blame of the management staff - while they work at Wal-Mart, they are still individuals. That doesn't mean Wal-Mart is not at fault, certainly something else should have been done and it's awful what happened. But that doesn't mean that everyone should boycott them forever. They've made it pretty difficult to do that anyway.

Yeah, but I also care about buying my Legos, magic cards, nerf footballs, cheap pants and cheezits and soda all in one place.
Certainly it is terrible what happens, but I'll be honest, I don't really shop that often at Wal-Mart because I don't really need to buy that much stuff that they sell, I usually go to Tops for soda because they always have it on sale and I don't need clothes any more. Also, I really like American Apparel.

As a fatty myself, I understand the problem finding clothes.  The target near me also has nothing for plus sizes, but they do have a good selection online.  I find that walmart clothes are unflattering and don't wear well.  Department stores differ from one location to another and so some don't carry much but others do.  JCpenny does good sweaters, and some dresses. Sears is my go to for casual wear, the one by me usual has so much stuff on clearance, because no one thinks to shop there for clothing.  Also Macy's has some nice things, but pricey if they are not on sale.  As far as Lane Bryant, don't EVER buy anything there full price.  Get on the coupon list and get 30% off of all purchases, and only buy stuff that is on sale anyways.  Their pants are $50, but they fit right and they last, and when you buy them on sale with a coupon you can get them form <30.

please read this blog post from a fellow member and don't shop at wal-mart again

Only if you can find me another place that gets me my medication for $45 a month less than every other pharmacy while I have a rather small amount of income.

Yeah, I am pretty sure I can't get half of my groceries as cheap anywhere else. As much as I hate Wally World, I can't give up shopping there yet, especially when my food budget is $50 per month. Aldi is great for like... eggs, and frozen meat, but I also need other stuff too.

Hey everyone, I need to buy some new bookshelves. When I get back from Ikea and put them together you're all invited to the bookshelf launch party.

Yeah, I do most of my grocery shopping at Aldi but that's really only because I'm living off of rice, beans and homemade tortillas at this point.
