What seems weird to me is that when Veronica was first introduced, we found out that "Veronica Vance" is her professional name, and she goes by "Veronica Reed" (her married name) in her private life. And while it's well known in our universe that Veronica Vance = Veronica Reed, in the QCverse there is no webcomic broadcasting the everyday lives of these characters to the Internet at large... so her private name should be much more, well, private.
So if Jim was googling "Veronica Reed", he shouldn't have come up with any links for Veronica Vance unless he was digging really hard -- a lot harder than I would normally expect for a first date.
Although... for Hollywood celebrities, biographical websites often include their birth names as well as their stage names, but they're generally a lot more famous and more thoroughly researched than porn celebrities. Still, Wikipedia editors can be pretty obsessive at times, so I suppose it's possible that VV's Wikipedia page actually had her real name on it, in which case my above analysis is completely invalid.
