Halo 3
SilkyNumbNuts:
Not to come across as a fanboy, but I cannot think of an FPS that I like the gameplay more on.Yes, it is one of my favored genres, and I would also say I prefer it to many PC FPSes. No, it doesn't play well on PC, that's true, so maybe some of you have only played it on the PC.
I love the pace of the action. It is one of very few games that i can stand to replay.
Halo 2, though, was not all that good. It took everything that was good about the environments and action of halo 1, and changed just enough that it just wasn't all that fun anymore.

--- Quote from: est ---I'll wet the blanket even more by saying that I couldn't even get through the first Halo. It felt like every other space-type game I'd ever played, except duller. When Halo 2 came out I had absolutely no desire to check it out. All this buzzing about Halo 3 is just totally zooming over my head.

seconded.
FPS games have always left me feeling like I'm just mashing button since I suck at them. Same with fighting games.

Oh man, I loved that game. How did it not get any recognition at all?
Like seriously, I don't even LIKE FPS's and I loved that game.

I got on the halo band wagon WAY after the initial hype. I didn't think it would be much good, but after playing at a friends house i was hooked. Halo 2 the game was awful. It really pissed me off. I grew to love it, but first impressions really annoyed me. Now i've seen the halo 3 trailer. It just made me go "That's nice....... And?". I'm going to want more than that if they want me to shell out for a 360 and a copy of halo 3.
SilkyNumbNuts:
You neeed the sound turned up for that trailer.
And it looks like it's returning to its roots. Notice the AR, and the fact the engine is focusing on large open areas?
