I don't think it has even a little chance of happening but Pacman would be cool to play in Brawl, his Final Smash could be him eating one of those big pellets and then all the other brawlers would turn blue and white so he could eat them! Hell, I'm already excited if this happens!

I thought Kingdom Hearts was fairly awful. The production values are great but the game play is terrible and if Sora's iconic it's mostly by proxy. That said, I wouldn't be THAT surprised if Sora made it in, since Kingdom Hearts was a pretty big deal to a lot of people, apparently. Still, I don't think it's a coincidence that he mostly seems to be championed by the gameFAQs crowd, which is fitting because Kingdom Hearts is perfect for them: It's got all sorts of winding and pointless sidequests for the OCD suffers to write lovingly crafted and meandering descriptions of where you can find yet another fucking dalmation puppy. And for what? Gummy ship pieces. For a ship that could just crash its way through to the next stage easily anyway. Seriously, the 3rd time I flew around in it, I got up, made a sandwich, came back in time for my ship to safely make to its destination and decided I didn't want to play the game anymore. One of my fondest wishes is that Yahtzee will break down and make a Kingdom Hearts review one of these days, but I'm pretty certain he'd rather be sodomized by a silverback gorilla than play through an old PS2 JRPG.

In response to Megaman not being in the game simply because of popularity. That is ridiculous, sorry. Megaman has actually been pretty popular as a stupid new spinoff animated series in the past few years among younger children. This is besides the point. Was Falcon a popular character when the original Smash Bros. came out? There hadn't been an F-Zero game for the N64 around that time, and I remember nobody paying attention to it anyway, and the same goes for the Gamecube one. So, what about Metroid? Samus didn't get reborn until the Gamecube. What about Ness? Dude, Earthbound is still Super Nintendo. Don't give me this popularity bullshit. If they don't put Megaman in the game it's because of the rights to the character. It's probably impossible to get rights from Capcom for him at this point, especially with the new tv show blurring the old Megaman with this new Digimon/Pokemon/Yu-Gi-Oh cartoon series. I have to agree with you about Sora though. I would not be surprised if he was put into the game. It would still be out of place though. Moreso than Snake. Sora is just too Final Fantasy for Smash Bros. Why? Angst-ridden japanese cliche-fests don't fit in too well with the likes of a Japanese conceived Italian plumber, a huge turtle, a few pocket monsters, some plants and a astronaut, a sexy roly-poly, a small green elf, furries, a pink cotton ball... Need I go on?

Sora has been in one game on one Nintendo platform and it wasn't even significant.

This is a Nintendo game and every third-party character is going to have strong ties to Nintendo. Mega Man and Simon Belmont (hell, they were in the Nintendo Half Hour Commercial that was Captain N) are reasonable. Sora and Pac-Man are not.

On that note: Captain N should HELL of be in this game and should've been from the beginning.

Metal Gear (Series)

The Metal Gear series has barely touched Nintendo (One proper game, two spin-offs) in over twenty years on the market. It's, by and large, been supported by Sony consoles. Yet Solid Snake is in there.

Rahter than pac-man (that would be awesemely cool) I would rather preffer a Tetris brick to play Brawl. Imagine its final smash be something like throwing lots of bricks, while tetris main theme starts playing! And its stage, like Mr Game and Watch's, but higher and with Tetris theme too, with falling bricks aswell.

The sad thing is, that wouldn't be too hard. About half the people who played the game are somehow involved in fanart/fanfix. Which is a lot of people. So yes, I agree that Brawl looks totally fuckin' rad.

Possible, but doubtful. I seriously doubt they'd put an F-Zero villain in it. Although Micaiah from the new Fire Emblem is on that fake roster, which is cool.

It's not the sense that he'd be unexpected, it's just that the majority of F-Zero characters don't really have any personality and that on a certain level is what Smash Brothers is all about. Samurai Goroh is already an Assist Trophy, and that's the only other character in F-Zero I could see that would have a really unique moveset in any way.

also, flying yoshi is cool, and so is Snake's lightgun game. The only one so far that I've been actively disappointed by was Zelda.

The Japanese intro movie has leaked, and basically confirms two characters.

For those of you who don't want anything spoiled, look away now:

It's Marth and Ness. Ness we sort of already knew about, but it's basically official now. As a huge Fire Emblem dork and somebody who used Marth as my primary character in Melee, I'm super happy he's still in Brawl. Probably means Roy is cut, but whatever, I like faster characters anyway.

Marth was the better character out of the two because he was so much faster. Didn't matter that he didn't hit AS HARD because he still hit hard enough. Roy's big explosion was better than shield breaker, too, but then again, that doesn't mean a damn thing when you're playing against good people anyway because you'll never have the chance to charge it full one way or the other. Now that Ike is in as a heavy hitter Fire Emblem character, I could care less if Roy didn't show back up.

I'd still like to see Ganon in the game. Not Ganondorf, mind you, but actual Pig-Faced Ganon. If they made him look like he did back in the old cartoons, I would be eternally grateful.

More character leaks, so be aware if you don't want it spoiled:

Captain Falcon and Luigi are in as unlockables. I don't know how what the conditions are: apparently Marth is unlocked by beating Classic mode for the first time.

EDIT: Ganondorf is confirmed as well. No word on whether he'll still play like Falcon or not though. I was watching an extended video of Marth's Adventure mode level, and I noticed a few things. One, he's even faster than he was in Melee, although his reach has been nerfed a fair amount. He still seems to have more reach than Meta Knight, who is the other fast sword-using character. Also, the Shield Breaker is now a thrust rather than an overhead swing, which means you can't use it to take out guys above you anymore.

Game and Watch, Lucario, and ROB are all also playable. Ridley is a boss in Adventure mode, not a PC. Narr, Ganondorf's Final Smash is apparently turning into Ganon, although I haven't seen that in screen form yet. Ganondorf does NOT use his sword from TP, but no word on whether he and Falco are still clones.

Man, I was certain Wind Waker Link wasn't going to make it. Unless that screen is fake (which I don't think it is), then I was wrong. Now people are trying to figure out whether that's the complete roster or if there's more. Also, I don't understand how ROB is going to work at all. Seems like a strange inclusion to me. Ah well.

The question is now whether Ganondorf, Young/Toon Link (I can't imagine they'll have that name in the English release), and Falco are still clones. Also, whether Lucas is just a Ness clone.

I guess. But his inclusion just sort of begs the question of 'why?' ROB was more of a peripheral than an actual character, and was involved in one game all the way back on the NES. I mean, I suppose he's only slightly less obscure than Pit, but Gyromite isn't generally considered on the same level as Kid Icarus.

Mostly I'm just really really happy that Krystal's not in it. I prefer to imagine that she never existed. But now that I think about it, I'm sure she'll show up as an Assist Trophy or a Sticker or something.
