If you can still call Garm's mad-scientist experimentations a "band."

I freaking LOVE Ulver though.

You know what else is fabulous?

the Devin Townsend Band... also Strapping Young Lad

I assume you say this as though it's a bad thing. Some of my favourite music is the music I fall asleep with. Hell ,we were discussing Ulver before... Their album "Perdition City" actually states that it is music "for the stations before and after sleep"

Christ, I would end up listing a good 20 bands, including the two recent contenders for addition. I'll go with my top five, in no order:

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
Wilco
Weezer
Pink Floyd
Joy Division

Mellow atmospheric music is not a bad thing. I'm down with Sigur Ros.

But it is boring under normal conditions. Ulver doesn't bore me ever. :-D I have probably listened to "A Quick Fix Of Melancholy" more than Garm has.

But honestly, I can actually fall asleep to anything. I've tried Meshuggah and it results in really odd tempo dreams.
