I tweeze Chris's eyebrows for him. Oh married life?

Man Kat goes all kinds of crazy when my eyebrows get a little out of sorts. She gets this look in her eyes that says I may wake up with her hunching over my unconscious body with tweezers and a hypodermic needle with tranquilizer in it.

Is it just me, or is that like a more subdued version of hair you would see in the '80s? I wasn't alive then, so I am not sure.

It doesn't particularly strike me that way - it's more layered, for one thing (if I'm using the right word - it's not my field, really).

I will try and get better photos once i have washed it and put hair stuff in it so it looks nicer.

my main problem is that i have to wake up at 6:30 every day now and i haven't had a haircut in like five months but i also have no time in the mornings to make myself look presentable at all so every day i go to school and attend/teach classes with stupid hair pointing in every direction looking like the biggest dick on the planet and like... man how do you long haired people do it, you must have such incredible amounts of patience because i honestly can't be bothered with this shit even in the slightest

Well for me the growing process is certainly pretty painful but once it gets past a certain length, gravity tends to do a lot of the work. You've just gotta keep it clean and keep knots out of it, which can be a pretty harrowing process.

To be honest Tania my short hair is 1000000x more work than my long hair. And in both situations I haven't done stuff to it. My short hair just always dries stupid but my long hair I could leave it for a week and not brush it and it'd look great.

yeah i am really just venting cos my hair is at the awkward stage where there is absolutely no way it can look even slightly normal or presentable in any sense unless i spend like an hour on it and i just can't be arsed to wake up early enough to do any such thing, but i have been holding out because haircuts are so expensive and also i have had basically zero time at all lately. this was supposed to be the future, i am disappointed we haven't yet gotten to the point where you can stop hair growth and just get one haircut that will last you for the rest of your life

My long hair drives me up the wall sometimes, but I love it and seeing as how last time I cut it off short, I hated myself. Basically when I cannot be bothered with it, I brush it, put it in a ponytail and pin my bangs back. If I want it to look super lovely and perfect, that involves washing, conditioning, drying, straightening and all of that takes like an hour. Cannot be bothered most of the time. Especially now in summer it is hot enough for it to dry on it's own, I blow dry my bangs so they sit right and just let the rest dry on it's on and I run the straightener over it later. So lazy.

Curly hair is easy, you can just wash it and let it dry and if it is a little crazy nobody really cares because it's curly and they are probably jealous.

My hair is the best. I just can't cut it too short.

My long hair drives me up the wall sometimes, but I love it and seeing as how last time I cut it off short, I hated myself.

I've basically arrived at the conclusion that I'm never going to have short hair again. I'd eventually want to let it grow out, and I couldn't bear going through the awkward half-mullet-not-quite-shoulder-length phase again.

whereas a packet of five safety razor blades costs four maximum

Shop around on the net and eBay for blades, there's some fantastic deals for bulk blades, and there's often samplers of different blades you can buy. Try a few different blades before settling on one brand, it really does make a difference which brand you use, and it's generally a matter of personal taste, yr shaving technique and the razor you are using.

My new job (or rather, the high-end hotel chain we are contracting to) requires that nobody grow a beard while employed there. It's cool if you had a (well-maintained) beard already, they just don't anybody walking around in three-day scruff. Sideburns past mid-ear are verboten too. In fact the grooming guide for our company specifically mandates daily shaves for male employees.
