OKAY YOU GUYS

MAJOR CHANGE UNDERWAY

My hair has gotten fairly long now, meaning roughly 18 cm on the top, and about 6 or 8 in the back and sides.

What I'm considering, is a buzz-cut in the sides, effectively making it a long-ass, wide fauxhawk-ish kind of thing. Ben Tuttle of the Dillinger Escape Plan has something similar.
After it's been cut like this, I can still slick it back like always, but still leave it down and get my headbanging, swhingy hair on.

y/n?!

FYI: I'm doing it regardless, I think, but still. Just laying it out there.

That is pretty much the exact haircut I have, except I comb it over to the side instead of straight back.

Yeah, I can do that with it as well, should I fancy.

Is it easy to do yourself if you have a hair trimmer and a steady hand?

I dunno, I always get my haircut professionally.

This cut especially I think it's worth paying for, because you really want good blending between the shorter sides and the longer top so you can maintain some degree of professionalism.

Or at least I do.

Kind of, yeah, but not like a punk thing. Any recent pic of the aforementioned Ben Tuttle will explain it a lot better.

According to the internet, there is a dude named ben something, and a dude named jeff tuttle in that band I've never heard of.

Also I guess you are never going to put it up, which makes it a cool haircut I guess, it will probably look pretty cool.

Ah, yes, Jeff Tuttle, yeah.

The other guy's called Ben Weinman. For some reason I always get those two dudes mixed up, but the again, they're in the same band.

And fuck no, I'll never, ever put it up and if you see me do it kick me in the balls.

alright guys, this was my hair a couple of years ago. I bit like Lummer's, only longer on the sides. I'm at a stage where I can go back to this again if I decide to trim my hair properly.

Should I do this? This is the best picture that kinda shows what it looked like.

Actually, I think the main thing that picture is telling me is that I need to spend more time at the beach. Salt water in hair makes the best styling stuffs.

I guess I should find someone who's willing to cut my hair then. What are the stances on doing this yourself?

Honestly, what does your hair look like now? I am normally a big advocate for going to a stylist but it might be just enough trim here and there to be able to do it yourself.

It's pretty much a grown out generic boy 5 pound haircut. Trimming it shouldn't be too much of a problem as long as I don't get too ambitious. Once I get a hold of something with a camera attached to it, I'll post pics.

So I got bored and had little nervous breakdown with scissors. And this time...I gave myself bangs. And I forgot just how much they shrink up after you cut them.

Am I going to scare cute guys away now?

Was there ever an official name for that guy hairdo where it's all nice and short, but the front is a little longer and it spikes straight up in the front? I always attribute it to the 90's and 3rd wave ska.

I don't know if there is a name, but I often have exactly that cut because the god-forsaken cow licks I have in my hair prevent me from doing much else with it.

Blargh... I wasn't much of a fan of 3rd wave ska, nor the ten-minute swing fad that hit about 97ish.   I'm now going to have to grow my hair out and figure out how to do something with it.

Also. I've decided I love my bangs because they look like this in the morning:
