Eliza, your hair is amazing. Amazing. I want it. I will have it. (I have decided once I've grown out all the fucked dyed bits I'm going bright red and damn the expense!)

So, guys. My hair has many layers of bleach and dye at the ends which prevent me bleaching the shit out of it and going fire-engine-red because it doesn't stay that colour at all if you have old dye in it. No matter what. Tried that. I've got an appointment with the hairdresser for two weeks and I am not sure what to do.

Ie: I could cut off all that remains of the shitty died stuff and be done with it - only, I'll have hair I will have to wear out. I always intend to, and never follow through, because I've never spent time on my hair and resent that I have to. And I'm used to not having my hair out. Or, I could get a trim and have to wait another two-three months to cut it all off.

I am of course leaning for the less sensible course, in which case I kind of like the first haircut (not the expression so much lol). The second one is me now.

Do you think that haircut would be unmanageable for someone who works out, is impatient with girly shit and is not used to hair in her face? Or would it be quick and easy enough to get straight and manageable that I could suck it up and deal with it?

I have never, ever bothered with nice hair, clothes or makeup but I want to move slightly in that direction, I just have no judgement of what is overkill for someone used to shower-dress-done.

Help?

I hate that stage.

It takes me much longer than it really should to grow my hair out because I chop it off again any time I think it looks really bad.

Yeah, I have been at that stage for a few years now. But finally it is nearly pull-back-able! I am celebrating! I have not had long hair since I was smallish.

I don't want long hair, I just don't want really short hair either even though I like how I look with it. It's just that I get sick of hairstyles very quickly, and it's time to try something new. I'm thinking something similar to what I had before I cut it really short, which was straight shoulder length-ish, only not as long as shoulder length I think and not as straight, because straightening it was a pain in the ass. I can't have it really long because my hair is very thin and when it's long it gets frizzy and ugly as hell no matter what I do with it.

...Obviously I'm not sure about what I want, we'll see when I get there.

I'm going to the barbers to have my beard trimmed pretty soon and I might get mah hair cut. I usually ask for shortbackandsides and slightly messy ontop, is there a superior haircut to ask for? Barbers intimidate me like no others.

I don't know. That's a pretty legit bedhead straight out of the box. Some people try for hours to achieve something that only hints at that.

The entire point of the bedhead hair is that it can be something other than bedhead hair should you want it to be.
