Yeah, established characters are merely NPCs, just like any other (shitty) licensed MMO.

This is why licensed MMOs don't generally work. If your games only claim to fame is that you can play alongside established characters, then the gameplay typically suffers as it falls by the wayside to make room for more fanservice.

I guess I'm the only one who watched Star Wars Galaxies swiftly fall from "solid, pioneering sci-fi MMO set in the vast Star Wars galaxy" to "run of the mill load of shit fanservice pandering to the lowest common denominator."

Oh yeah, guess who ran that MMO, guys? SOE anyone?

Also, people need to learn what the fuck a troll is. A troll is someone who comes into a thread posting irrelevant messages with the specific intention of pissing people off. Troll =/= anyone who disagrees with you.
