I pretty much don't wear any, except maybe some Blistex chapstick in the winter. I went to the Fox with my sister recently, though, and decided to try some simple things. Specifically, this eye thing. It actually turned out really nicely, and I knew you could do subtle things to make your eyes stand out with eyeliner, and more obvious things with eyeshadow because they're harder to notice, but I hadn't ever banked on something that seems so obvious actually succeeding.
I will post a photo if my sister ever uploads them.

One thing you can do is blot the mascara wand with a piece of paper towel (using toilet paper will lead to pieces stuck to the wand...which is gross). It wastes mascara, but at least it doesn't clump. I have a streak of blond through my lashes (I'm kind of piebald, I have two randomly placed blond streaks in my hair, too) so not using mascara looks kind of weird.

I tried some of my cousin's mascara once. I blinked and then couldn't open my eyes afterward. I had to go and wash them off. I felt incredibly stupid.
