I mean, I tend to believe Patrick about his job...

"General excitability." That's because people in this town are being MURDERED. And how long are you going to wait? Until the mafia shoots you up or some crazy pants vigilante comes up and shoots you in the head? If locking people up was the answer, I'd do it, but the mafia has resources and who knows what this vigilante can do. (I've watched enough Batman to know what vigilantes can be capable of.)

This is tough. I think it's too easy for the mafia lurking among us to cast suspicion on people who haven't posted much - there's not much evidence, but they're easy targets for not speaking up as often. Which kind of makes me suspicious of Gnomes for getting that bandwagon rolling.

Then again, the less you post, the easier it can be to fly under the radar until we're all annihilated. Enough 'no evidence' starts to get really suspect. In that case, I'd be more inclined to vote for Whitey Fats.

But we've already lost two villagers! I need to think on this some more, but I'll get my vote in soon.

J was the only one who wanted to lynch someone on day 1, even though without clues we'd have likely killed a villager. Wonder why that is?

I'm wondering why Garteh and cesium were targeted. We're assuming cesium got hit by the vigilante, yeah? But why would the Mafia choose Gareth? Did they, like Carl-E, think he was the vigilante (if he had been, that would have been revealed, I thought)? If Carl-E mafia who ran with that suspicion, and convinced fellow goons to whack him? Or was it the gristly, grizzly puns that lead to his grisly death?

It's possible that Gareth was the vigilante. I still think he might have been - we might be memorialising him in death, but do you remember him? Alive, he was absolutely unhinged! He threatened to kill all of us! Did you see what he did to that bear? He was certainly crazy enough to go start killing people.

And if that's the case, thank god. Who knows when he might have turned on any of us?

Pat's a friend of mine, and if he says he's been at work - which you all know he has a full schedule of working, singing, playing guitar, and making mistakes with pretty girls - then I believe him. I vote no lynch.

That's kind of why I'm surprised the mafia went for him first - he'd have been great for deflecting suspicion during the day, unless he was (or strongly suspected of being) the vigilante. In that case, they did us all a favor.

What would be the best way of investigating this mess? Maybe we should gather our resources and act as detectives and start PM:ing people.. the problem is that the mafia has no outstanding characteristics we could go on.

The thing is, the cops shouldn't reveal themselves, they'll get hit right away. Neither Mafia for the vigilante will reveal themselves either, of course, and the masons are the only other ones who can coordinate anything - I'm still not sure what role they really play except for being a group that knows its members aren't anything else (wait, can a mason be the vigilante, or a cop? I don't think there are dual roles, there were exactly 14 roles and 14 people before doubled names were removed).

Dr.Nervioso, if you bled when you shaved like I do, you'd have beard, too. And it's only itchy if you don't keep it clean...

I agree Gareth probably got whacked because he was acting out, I'm sure the mafia thought he was covering something up; but since he wasn't revealed to be the vigilante or a cop or even a mason, it all must have been a ruse. But here we seem to be going the other way, thinking that people who are quiet are covering something up. But even idontunderstand didn't feel right about his vote.

*sigh*. We're going to wake up tomorrow to another death (probably two), and we've really got nothing to go on. All we can do at this point is hope we're lucky enough to take out a mafiosi.

But I'm going to make it a real race, and nominate the one person who hasn't felt the need to defend themselves - I move we take Whitey Fats out back.

One day, my daughter was grumpy and complaining about how crummy she felt. My wife called (she'd been out running around), and told me to get her ready and outside to take her to a doctor's appointment that had been made on the fly earlier that day. When I told her to get ready, she asked why, where were we going?

I told her "out back", since my wife was pulling the car up near the back door.

Fine, fine, while I still stand by my reasoning that Patrick is a creepy mofo, it seems that he is finally interacting with society and no longer watching us with those beady, beady black eyes of his... *Shudder* That does get rid of a good deal of suspicion. But if we check his basement and find dead puppies, then I claim rights to "I told you so."

So since y'all seem SUPER INTENT on lynching villagers here, I'd like to point out that I am a villager, and therefore it would be in no one's best interest to lynch me. I can't do any harm against the mafia (I'm not a cop, I'm just a shut-in who plays Elder Scrolls) and the villagers really wouldn't want to hurt another one of their own (even if they do out of sheer incompetence).
