Kinda surprised I hadn't heard about this.

Apparently just before Hurrican Katrina in 2005, Six Flags New Orleans was shut down. It has remained abandoned ever since.

Pretty sure that's Dark Carnival from l4d2, especially since they're both in New Orleans.

Dark Carnival takes place in Georgia. Only The Parish takes place in New Orleans.

Not that it matters, that shit is uncanny and creepy and awesome.

Haha pretty good.

Man, I was in New Orleans for the Jazz & Heritage Festival last April and remember both my buddy and I got creeped the fuck out because the festival took place at the NOLA fairgrounds which reminded us a little too much of Dark Carnival.

And now this. It's beautiful and haunting and holy shit I am not sleeping tonight.

I believe that represents the company's valuation. I'm not sure, but that would make sense in the context that I saw the image.

I'm wondering what the chart's supposed to signify.  Did the person who made it want to make Bill Gates or Steve Ballmer look good?  I have to assume it's one or the other, since the only apparent use of the chart is to make a comparison between CEOs.  But all that chart says is that Bill Gates built a company up from pretty much nothing, and Steve Ballmer hasn't destroyed it.

And now, a monkey riding a pig.

addendum:  I think it's telling that XP would have been designed and in production by the time that Gates handed the reins to Ballmer, but then directly after that there was a big gap until Vista, which was a flop.  During this time the Windows Mobile side of things also languished, and may or even may not be only just now getting back on track.

I think the last 10 years have probably been a huge learning experience/adjustment period for Ballmer and MS in general, but 7 is alright and WM7 looks to be at least a step in the right direction.  Pity for them that Apple has used their relative impotence during the time to steal a march on them.

While the chart makes it look like Ballmer is treading water, its actually really decpetive cos of the awful scale of the y axis. At the end of Gates time its at 60 (whatever the y axis represents) ten years later its at 30.

the sliding scale would probably also mean that rather than a near linear rise under gates, its probably closer to exponential.

It's stock price. and yeah, the way they do the scale flattens the peak and changes the growth curve under Gates, but doesn't change much under Ballmer.

Y'know I hadn't thought of it, but a chart of Apple's stock price under different CEOs would look like pretty much the reverse over the same time period.
