I'm familar with the smarties Paul posted, as well as these(Also). Those one's are sort of like Necco Wafers, where as the one's Paul posted, I think are more chewy...? I have no idea what refreshers are, but honestly, is it really so bad for there to be similar candies out there? It's called competition, and it makes them strive to do better.

I'm pretty sure I heard a little while back that smoking smarties gets little tiny shards of the candy stuck in your lungs, which is of course bad. I dunno if that's true or not but I wouldn't do it, just to be safe. Although I dunno why you'd do it anyway.

about smoking the candy? they're not actually smoking it, it's just crushing the candy up turns it to candy-dust which you can blow out and it looks like smoke.
