Assuming this is talking about what you do after you have it around and fastened, and isn't talking about wearing belts without putting them through your belt loops at all, I put it through the loops, and if it just barely misses the next one, I'll usually cinch it down another spot. It doesn't really hang, though, since it is a woven leather belt. Also makes it easy to adjust, so many holes.

I want skinnies in all the neutrals grey, black, white, and brown. I can't find any basic black skinnies around here that aren't like hm.. Certain skinnies are just 'TOO' tight around the ankle, now I'm not looking for bootcut but I want a happy medium.

Maybe try Topshop? I've never bought jeans from there myself (I own a grand total of one pair of jeans), but it looks as though they might have what you want.

Hey fashion Thread.

Does this look really silly or good? Prom is tommorrow and this was a practice up do, it's not hairsprayed or held down proper or anything, but is this a good general look yes?

Anyway, Andy, I think that looks really really nice.  Classy, chic, probably everything you wanna go for.  I love that pin!

Is it too much to ask to get a picture of the barrette?

Addendum:  I love it!  It's so much better than the typical bleach blonde/tiara/orange tan/gaudy makeup look, and in so doing, very refreshing.  I say the makeup looks good too, poo on what Allison* says about the eye makeup, because I think you have the facial features to really pull it off.

Are you wearing any earrings?

Actually what she wants to do with that wing is angle it up higher. That wing plays some trick on your eyes and makes hers look bigger, if she gets it right.

Does this look really silly or good?

I think you pull off Audrey Hepburn better than 99% of women possibly could.  This is good rather than silly.  Though I do tend to agree with the general consensus that the eye makeup isn't exactly right.

I agree with this.  Eyeliner wings make me think of Amy Winehouse.  While she was not a crackhead would have been a good thing, but now she is one she's ruined it for everyone for a while, I'm afraid.

On a tangent, does anyone else think Winehouse is veering into looking like a female Perry Farrell these days?  It is horrible.  Not even Perry Farrell should look like Perry Farrell.

Andy is not gross and therefore should not compared to Amy Winehouse, even if it's just because of makeup. Winehouse is narsty.

I like the hair! I like the wing, too, but yes, it needs to be placed differently. You've got the whole classy 60s look going on really well, so yeah, definitely do the Audrey Hepburn eyes.

I have a skirt. A short one. I made it last week. It was a prototype of sorts.

I'm moving very slowly into girliness. I don't know if that's good or bad. Also, I do realize that it's a little on the short side for my figure, but not to worry, I wore black tights under it and it looked much better.

Didn't we tell you to introduce some color into your fashion diet a while ago?
I think the outfit looks good overall but needs some color other than black and shades of black. What about... a dark red, or a dark green for the top. I think that'd brighten things up just a tad and still look alright.

Also I don't think I have ever seen metallic silver nail polish before. I am intrigued.

Just looking at that picture makes me taste cotton candy. I'm really hoping that it is the hair color, otherwise I have a very strange fetish.

I would be more interested in how much damage that white hair dye does than the nail polish, but it might have to do with me not planning on ever putting on nail polish.

Germain, I think that the dark red top Pants suggested would look very good, very dignified as well. But I'm biased, I have a love affair with the color burgundy.

I own and have worn the equivalent of 3 of the bracelets that girl is wearing. I am male. I... am pretty sure this is not a good thing.

Actually can I make that into a question? What is the public opinion on "candy"-style beaded bracelets? I have a whole tin full of different colors from when a crafts-y stalker showered me with them.

Well, when I wore the skirt out about town with black tights, I was wearing a red halter top with it. And my hair down. Dear god, the world is ending. My boyfriend has a picture, and I'll try to get him to send it to me so I can post it.

And by "a little on the short side for my figure," I of course meant because I have... thick legs. Usually I try to cover those.

Guys, what do we think of this?

I am wearing it at work today and am going out straight after work, I figured it was both cute and work-like. The stockings are fishnets underneath a normal pair.

The outfit itself is very nice, but as for the stockings I dunno.  Fishnets get a bad rap due to stereotype.  There are plenty of really classy-looking stockings to choose from that would avoid criticism from people who think "fishnets = whore"

I'm torn on the fishnets, it seems that it isn't as whorish (I cannot think of a better word, but I know this isn't the word I want) because it almost looks like it is just a texture of the other stockings, but I'm not completely sold on it, I guess it depends where you are going out to.

I would think that if it is a question of whether it looks "whorish" (which it totally does not) one would be more concerned with how it might play at her workplace than where she goes afterward.

Well, I work in an office and my boss is my Mum. The only thing mum has said all day in regards to my outfit was that it made my legs look incredibly long. She had more of a problem when I wore black skinny jeans to work and hasn't said anything about the stockings. So, stockings = totally okay at the workplace.

And yeah, Jace - I have the fishnets on UNDERNEATH the other pair. So it kind of just looks like a pattern on the stockings. There is no way I'd wear these on their own out in public.

I'm not really a fan of this poofy thing going on at the side of the skirt, but the overall look is pretty good. I keep forgetting that it is getting cold in aussie land and wondering why people are wearing all this dark somber stuff.

Jamie, you have a very cute figure and a great sense of style and I love everything about that outfit except for the ruffles on the sides (which remind me a bit of Saved by the Bell). Wearing regular stockings over fishnets is a really good idea for toning them down! I'll have to try that.
