It's kind of ill-fitting and makes you look like you're posing for a Vanilla Sky promotional advertisement.

Sorry.

Sorry.

Can you be more specific?  About the fitting, not the Tom Cruise movie.

Sleeves a little too long, jacket a little too short.

Can't tell how it fits around the shoulders. Could you take a picture with it buttoned/zipped?

Yay! more extremely bad, blurry mirror pictures.

These pictures make me realise I really need a a haircut.

Note:  I would never actually zip/button it up all the way.

It's not bad actually except for the sleeves. If you wear shirts of a proportionate length, you can't tell that the jacket is a bit short.

I'd say go for it.

It looks to me like the sleeves are just fine.  The cuff should come down to just above your knuckles and it seems to do so.  I think it's a pretty cool jacket.

I like that style of motorcycle boot, and wanted to get it for myself, but my ankles ended up being too skinny, and I had to get a pair with velcro.  I'd say go for it if they're not too expensive.  The top should be okay if you wear jeans that are kind of long.

I wear skin-tight jeans which don't move around a lot or get shorter when I sit down so the top will be completely covered.

loco_banana, they're ankle boots, not cowboy boots. They're meant to end where they do.

These are the alternative. I guess the question is whether the first pair is too tacky or not.

That said I love my Docs, I'm just in the market for something else.

I like the jacket, the fit is good. Reminds me of final fantasy: AA though, but that's because it's very similar to motorcycle jackets.

Also, gene, I like the second boots more, I Don't like all the strap things on the first ones

Actually Eartha Kitt did a really nice version of that song, and I was thinking of picking a 40s dress and making it in like a gold or a red maybe (fall colours lol) (Johnny Mercer translated it from french in 1947) and going around humming it until I get sick of it. So like I'm my own acapella jazz club, sort of. Maybe.

Hey, man, unless I dress up for something specific, like a convention or a party, I do not really need fashion advice because I wear the same goddamn thing every day: one of my 83 tshirts and jeans or black climbing pants. If it is hot I might wear shorts. If it is cold I do not wear my chacos and instead wear tennis shoes and a hoodie.

Maybe when I graduate in another 10 years I will need some fashion advice. Until then I am just looking for hell of cute things for special occasions. Like those motherfucking stockings.

So apparently I am dressing really 'dykey/boy' lately. I have had three guys comment how I am dressed more masculinely than them in a few days.

I'm not sure how I feel about this, but I think I will continue. When I have the chance I've been picking up clothes items here and there, trying to rebuild my wardrobe. Oh, also, how does QC feel about:

Women in small men's blazers
Women in very very loose mens jeans with a belt

Even though it's pretty boyish the way I have been dressing lately I feel looks pretty alright, however, am I dooming myself to a lifetime of singlitude with it?

I'm pretty okay with the men's blazers.  I don't think that very loose jeans look good on anyone.  They just tend to make people look shapeless.  Admittedly, this could be a good thing for people who don't want their shape seen, but I don't think I've seen anyone here who would look better in loose trousers.

I would love to wear baggy jeans but I'm not skinny enough. It would be terribly unflattering, given my body type.

Men's blazers can be good if they fit you well enough- make sure they still define your waist at least a little, and wear them with more feminine pieces so you don't just look like a dude with long hair. I love blazers with skinny jeans and heels, and some great jewelry.

Katie, I don't know where you'd find those exact stockings, but Target has some textured gray thigh-highs that you could probably attach some little pearl buttons to.
