I have really big boobs (I'm a Gee cup) & the only leather jackets I can find that fit me are vintage, although I tried on an H&M one the other week in a 12 & it actually fitted pretty well.

As a good leather jacket is an investment I think it is worth going to a proper leather shop and asking if they do adjustments. But also remember that good leather will stretch and warm to your body shape.

Before it went missing (*sob*) mine (A cropped 70's biker style one) has become like a second skin. (It was also lined and REALLY warm.)

i don't jam on zurick; they could've been the zig-zags (but without that stupid speed-lacing) that are $20?

I am really irritated that they only have those in men's sizes! Same with the people's shoe.

...I guess I should have added, I would appreciate if you could recommend brands that have women's sizes. I was going to get some keep shoes but I decided I don't want sneakers with white soles.

I have been looking for boots like that since my last pair died. Cannot find ones that have the nice line in between being clunky & feminine.

There are all too manly to flatter my calves or too slutty to look right with what I want to wear them with. (Short skirts & vests/t-shirts).

Awesome find.

Andy, how mild are Halifax winters? If they're not punishing, Katie's right. Layer. Wear a leather jacket with a hoodie underneath. It's stylish, warm and, if you can get decent mitts, cool as fuck.

I got a new jacket as well, it wasn't exactly what I was looking for but I ran out of time(it is too cold), and it was cheap(50 bucks new? Yeah!) It's a bit less orange than this picture shows, more muted.

the collar can be worn up or down, it's also better fitting that this shows but it's still a bit big because I wear a sweater underneath

Andy that is a nice coat
For a pumpkin

It isn't a bad coat, since it is duller than it looks in that photo. Otherwise, it would be pretty bad, at least in my opinion (this from the guy that has one bright colored shirt in his normal wardrobe). Aside from that, I suppose it is a nice coat, just not my style. It also looks like you should wear looser pants with it, it looks top-heavy otherwise.

edited for clarity.

however i dont think i could be convinced orange is a good color for really anything.

Top heavy can be good, but I think with that coat it just looks odd, maybe if it was a loose coat like a bomber jacket or something, where it isn't at its loosest at the bottom, right by the tight pants.

I'm a firm believer in balancing that shit out. As in, if it's loose on top, go tight on bottom, if loose on bottom, go tighter on top. There are exceptions to this rule, like sometimes a kind of tightish dress works and sometimes it is maybe good to rock the spy "form-fitting-everywhere" look.

What do you mean that orange is not a good color?

Actually, I've recently discovered that a darker orange can, in fact, work and I don't think it looks bad in the above picture.

I tend to just got with the "Loose everywhere but the boots" look, but men's fashion is slightly different than women's fashion, from what I have observed.

It seems very easy to do top-heavy wrong, it seems like a lot of top-heavy looks end up making the woman look like a bird.

Even so, the "loose everywhere but the boots" look ends up making one look fat.  Loose ends up eliminating the person's shape and substituting the garment's shape.  Unless the garment has a very purposeful shape, then it just results in making the person look large and shapeless.  In this case, it's apparently not so much of a concern due to the necessity of the situation (layering with a sweater).  One should always envision a shape one is trying to achieve and choose wardrobe according to the achievement of that shape.  This is, of course, a slightly idealized vision of fashion, since not all of us can achieve the shape that we'd like to achieve, and as such the goal should be achieving the best shape possible at all points in time.  Now, this shape can change depending on occasion, but there are certainly shapes that make us look better, and shapes that make us look worse (if I wear tapered trousers, I end up looking slightly ridiculous, because my natural body shape does not support this sort of thing).

Not a problem for me. I'm 6'2" and 160lbs, I like the extra width that the baggy jackets and cargo pants give to my silhouette.

I bought a new polo today! It is basically like the Fred Perry ones, black with the white trim on collar & sleeve. For some reason I can't find actual Fred Perry stuff in Perth for the life of me, but I guess I haven't looked super-hard either. I am going to rock good-fitting polo shirts hardcore this summer, I think. Gonna get some Ben Sherman ones as well.

I also bought some white jeans for my Andrew W.K. outfit for Hallowe'en. They're women's, and they cost $70 though, which is kind of lame. I feel like I need to get some wear out of them now because I paid so much. Fashion thread, is it ever O.K. to wear white jeans, and if so, with what?

right now i have two winter coats, my main one is a wool bomber and although it's not the warmest thing ever it keeps me pretty toasty up to about -10C or so. the other is a giant down-filled parka down to my knees i only pull out when the weather gets cold to the point where i want to die, but usually i end up wearing the bomber like 20x more than the parka anyway during winter. it is a pretty nice jacket.

ladies if you are still looking for winter coats that don't look terrible and it doesn't get horrifically cold where you live just get a wool bomber, i think one of these looks good on basically everyone -

Man I love orange shirts:

There are several more too, these are not all of my orange shirts, just the ones I happened to find in my photobucket. This post inspired me to put on an orange shirt from Acadia National Park in Maine, and my favorite orange shirt is one with a rowing centipede I got in San Sebastian, a town on the northern edge of Spain.
