It needs to be manually winded though, so i don't wear it much.

I think Swatch has the whole collector cult thing going on so it wouldn't surprise me.

That canvas watch is nuts though. It's one the far upper limit of what I want to spend for a casual watch but I don't know if I can/want to stop myself.

There's a shop at Karrinyup that has pretty much all of the Nixon watches if you want to check them out in person. I forget what it is called but it is near the food court and it is full of mostly awful things. I think Whitfords has the same store as well. There's also Unison skateshop in Leederville but their range is pretty limited.

A surf shop? All their online retailers seem to be. I'll have a look for it; I can't find it online in Australia.

Thanks.

I don't get this. Why would you get a watch that needs to be manually winded? All that means is that for the time to be set correctly you need to update it every day. That, to me, defeats the purpose of having the watch in the first place.

No, you just have to make sure you wind it before it loses time. Inconvenient, sure, but it shouldn't be difficult to keep accurate as long as you don't forget.

Every day when i wake i turn the crown a few times. It takes 45 seconds at most and keeps it running to the best possible accuracy (all mechanic watches are not 100% exact). The only problem is that someone like me sometimes has problems remembering you have to eat every day  to not die or feel awful.

I need urgent-ish fashion advice. I have a very important interview which I'm flying down to London (from Aberdeen) for. I only have plain white blouses which in combination with black shirt and shoes make me look like I am either a mormon or going to a funeral. So I need a new shirt. I have two choices. One similar to this, but lighter blue:

Or this:

If I get option two I can wear the black shirt, nude tights and black shoes. If I get the top shirt can I get away with a black skirt/suit jacket?

I vote for number one, but as you said, in a lighter colour. I'm not a huge fan of the ruffles on the second one (though I do like the subtle stripes on it), and if it is a lighter blue then you should be able to get away with coupling it with the black of the rest of the outfit.

I think both are lovely, I would love to wear ruffled shirts, but busty ladies + stuff on bust =nono. I think the first one screams BUSINESS TIME in a good way.

Nude tights should never be worn imo. Just NEVER.

What kind of tights would you suggest? I never normally wear them as I am a jeans and t-shirt/shirt kind of girl .

Anything but nude. I just think they look awful. I'm a 100 denier black or coloured tight girls. I like grey tights with an all black outfit, if you get a warm enough colour it can look pretty chic.

I have lived most of my life in the North/midlands of England, so I'm always cold though, I also have tattoos that need covering up (Hence 100 denier.) I also think they are just more flattering on the legs.

forgetful

I frequently forget my age. not in that 'oh whoops, I accidentally took a year off my age because I am used to being the same age I was last year' way, but in that '...when was I born...how long ago was that...what year is it? uhgh....how old am I?' kind of way.
I worked it out on a calculator last night, and I've spent several weeks believing that I'm a full year younger than I actually am.

hey dovey when you get yrs lemme know if they're tts or vanity, cos i need some trousers right now

I got my trousers today! They fit amazing through the legs, sit on the hips which is not what I was expecting but if you are OK with that then totally hit them up. And yeah, defs go a size up from yr usual. I wear a 33 jean and I ordered these trousers in sz36, and even though there's a bit of room in the waist they're still quite snug on my butt and I'm absolutely sure a 34 wouldn't have ever fit me in a million years no sir.

I usually wear scarves even if it's not cold. As long as it's not too hot either, I can pull off the t-shirt + scarf thing. I should probably check for some button down shirts. That is a good idea, thanks Sam.

They are fine for girls, that's is a super cute look.

Can you guys post some pictures where it is super cute? I am literally trying to think of a way it can be successful and it is not coming to me. I am not being snarky and doubting, my imagination is just literally failing me here.

Sam: There are size charts on the website here. The thing is that it is not really the waist size you have to worry about, it's the butt+thighs i.e; you could only order yr usual waist size pants for these if yr ass did not protrude at all and it is a completely flat surface from back to legs. What it says to do on that sizing chart, and what I did, was to take a measurement around the widest part of yr ass and base yr purchase on that.

dear blog thread, i did something i thought i wouldn't ever do. i wore a red plaid shirt/dress/tunic thing (it covers my butt-about as long as where my fingertips reach) over black leggings (with black flats). i did not realize i could be as comfy as i was then, and i kinda think i looked cute, even if i did drunkenly ask my friend like five times if i looked too much like a "goddamned hipster" (i only got rapped at in response).
