You guys, stripes. How the crappity crap do you accessorize them. I am pretty sure it is not with spaceship heels, but I'm in uncharted territory here.

manda stop being so attractive it's not fair ):<

as for the outfit you are wearing in that photo, i would wear solid colored tights with black boots.  but i mean, there are about a million different ways to wear that skirt... don't be afraid to coordinate mixed prints!  i am sure other people on this forum who read fashion blogs could help you out with actual photos, though.

So I bought some new chucks for weightlifting, after failing to find any at the thrift store. I haven't had any for probably about 8 years, so the last pairs I had were pre-nike. I noticed that on the label it still says that it is made out of "textile", rather than canvas. I had heard that they had been changed back to canvas, can anyone explain what is going on?

Also, chucks look kind of silly on people with big feet, they are too narrow.

I need a new wallet. My old one has vanished into the aether. It needs to be both awesome and less than $50. I have no idea where to shop for wallets as I've had the same one for the last 10 or so years.

I actually used a duct tape wallet in the past and it lasted about a year before the tape started to roll up at the edges and it got all sticky. I made it by cutting index cards to size and covering them with duct-tape in a single-fold with a card flap pattern.

that is a silly way to make a duct tape wallet switty. just stick two pieces of tape together, ive been using a duct tape wallet for maybe a year and a half now and i mean its beat up but it still rules. stickyness is not a problem.

Why is it silly to use an index card base? It gives the wallet shape and structure.

Unless you're subscribed to Make magazine and your homepage is Instructables and you only hang out with similar people duct tape wallets are unfashionable. And even if you do you could do better.

Which is why I was hoping for people to suggest wallets to buy, not wallets to make. I am not a crafty person. If it doesn't come in pieces that fit together in some predesigned fashion, I'm totally lost.

That is, I can put anything together that is designed to be put together. duct tape is not designed to be wallets. it is designed to tape ducts.

Duck tape

Also, no it isn't.

Quote
With a standard width of 17⁄8 inches (48 mm), duct tape was originally developed during World War II in 1942 as a water resistant sealing tape for ammunition cases
Quote
To provide lab data about which sealants and tapes last, and which are likely to fail, research was conducted at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory Environmental Energy Technologies Division. Their major conclusion was that one should not use duct tape to seal ducts (specialty tapes are available for this purpose).

Absolutely not! With some pigs we do use waterboarding and sensory deprivation techniques previous to slaughtering them, but the cows do not require any special handling.

Now that's a good suggestion. I wonder if I could find one like that that wasn't 4.5x3.5, which is a little big for my taste. That's the biggest problem I'm running into, my ass has a wallet-shaped dent in the left cheek and I don't want to have to break in a new ass dent because my new wallet is a totally different design.

For the record, my old wallet looked like this: http://www.thegrooveshack.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=T&Product_Code=ML019

It was the shit when I was like ten, which is when I bought it most of the blue had worn off by the time I lost it.

Fashion thread, recently I've been seeing horrible fashions on the streets, in magazines, blogs and such. I mean, there's always a couple of weird things, but this is getting ridiculous:

- Socks in sandals.
- Gladiator sandals that goes all the way up to the knee, making it look like whoever's wearing them is wearing shins.
- Biking tights worn as tights worn as pants.
- Denim jackets worn together with jeans in the same colour.
- A minimum of four different loud patterns worn at the same time, often with bright colours.
- A bizzare combination of some of the above.

Is this a Norwegian thing, or have the entire fashion world gone mad?

Definitely not a Norwegian thing. A friend/acquaintance of mine has been doing the denim on denim thing pretty regularly for a while now.  It's kind of horrendous, but he's also a weird enough person that I can't really count it against him so much as just add it to a long list of baffling things about him.
