... So I didn't know installing video drivers could absolutely screw up my audio.

I managed to spend all of the whole day fixing it. SP3 had to go. It won't be coming back on anyways, thanks to GRUB.

I would posit that the purpose of an online store is to allow people to browse, select, purchase and pay for items via the internet.

I would therefore suggest that the requirement of sending a cheque, along with a copy of the order which was placed via email, means you do not have an online store.

You have a website and an email address.

I am quite annoyed. I haven't got an envelope to send my cheque in. But dammit, I want those photos so I will find one!

Why did the cutest, friendliest, sweetest girl on Akademi wind up dating the biggest asshole on the show? Why did he not break up with his other girlfriend (who was also on fucking Akademi) before announcing it on Facebook? I know both girls and neither are open to letting this dude have an open relationship.

If it didn't make me feel like a damned hypocrite I'd love to rat him out to both of them.

Blaggy,

New York is a strange place. It's currently in the high 50's - on the fourth of July - and I will not be lighting any fireworks as they are illegal here and we did not smuggle any out of Pennsylvania last time we were down there.

Oh, well.

Hey thurr, blog thread.

It seems I've started talking to my ex again lately (or rather, she started talking to me)..but like..we've gotten over our differences, and things seem to be going smoothly, if not much slower than they did last time..which I kinda think was why they went south.

We shall see what happens, but it seems pretty rad right now!

I have the strangest sunburn on my arms.  It is partially a farmer's burn, but it also has white blotches which i don't understand because I did apply my sunblock evenly!  Craziness!  But it kinda hurts a lot, as does the top of my scalp.  No one ever thinks to put sunblock on the top of their heads, and I think they (someone other than me) should make a specific product for that that will not make your hair look greasy and gross.

Also, Blaggy, I have been sort of ranting about my new bed because it is nice to have a bed that actually fit on! My feet still hang off of this one but not so terribly badly. My grandparents gave me new sheets for it.

Called into work today, but it was pretty cruisy because I'm on Sunday penalty rates and as a result, I was under strict instructions to do only the job I was actually there to do, (operate the food till, run food out) and then get out which meant I mostly sat around and talked shit to the chef and drank a metric fucktonne of red lemonade and he made me a hotdog tortilla wrap doover because he was hungover and honestly I kind of like working in the kitchen.

Going from the bar to the kitchen is like going from representing your local crew at the city cuss championships to a full on mighty ducks 2 scenario where you are cussing for your country

Probably the best part about today though was being able to look out the kitchen window into the back alley where normally I spend a lot of time wandering around holding a clipboard with a furrowed brow and cursing little turds of jobs the night staff have left me and being able to look at those jobs and go "NO I AM DEFINITELY MEANT TO SIT HERE AND DRINK THIS POST-MIX AND MAYBE SAY 'CUNT' A LOT"

CHEEESCAKKKKE

Beluga thread

I had the best night I've had in a long time last night.

I went and saw some bands that were pretty sweet, they sounded like frightened rabbit except they were from Oban and it was sweet seeing local talent doing its thing. Then I headed to the pub with my friends with the biggest grin on my face. I nearly got us into a fight cause some guy a few years older was moaning about "all these damn college kids going away and then coming back thinking they are smarter than everyone". I promptly corrected him on his wrong thinking which he took as cheek and threatened me with a black eye. I then went WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO and waved my arms around and then laughed and no fights were had. The pub was too crowded but I didn't care cause I was soooooooooooooooo happy and was speaking to people I hadn't seen in a long long time. Then it was time for party! We went and much merriment was had, I met people from Tiree, the lovely little island were I go surfing, fishing and windsurfing and we talked about that for a while and I think I have to teach this girl to surf now.

I hitched back this morning and got picked up by a cool lady from mid Wales who had just been travelling around Scotland and had been up in Orkney. It turned out she was at a large party that was organised by family friends for the solstice and knew lots of people I knew, including the person that we think might have found a meteorite. Meteorites are fucking cool kids.

It seems like every single time I think things might be cool and I can feel like I am finally able to act my age, someone has to come around and tell me that I don't get to and that I shouldn't even try and date a girl unless I am certain I am going to marry her. Also that I am really good at failing and I don't set myself up for success. That part is true, but I don't really want to change that. I mean, I do, but it is a lot of work that I don't really want to invest time into. I am pretty okay with the fact that I fail at things. Hell, I'm 19, why do I have to act like I am 30? I was feeling pretty good and then after that conversation my night was ruined and because it was with my flatmate, I sort of want to just pack up all my stuff, go put some gas in my car and leave.

Last night was the best night. After work I played with my hamsters (they are new to me) by putting them in the little balls and watching them run into things and bounce off. Then I went to my best friend Clay's sister's house for fireworks. Claire and her husband always go all out; this year they got around $500 worth of fireworks plus when I got there they had a banquet table set up with crab, burgers, corn on the cob, potatoes, jalapeno poppers, veggies, all kinds of good eats.

So it got dark and it started, one guy got kind of hurt when a firework exploded on the ground. There were a bunch of the same type that did that so the guys took those ones back to the store and exchanged them for ones that weren't duds. Started again and there were lots of OOOOHs and AAAAHS and then the police came and said if we continue they'll fine the owners $150 so we waited until after midnight and lit the rest off all at one go. The only bad thing is that apparently my best friend's other best friend likes me and I ain't havin' that.

Had a small family get-together last night.  My family, my uncle, and his family.  His granddaughter ate a bunch of donut holes and ran laps around the pool.  She ran inside when we lit fireworks.  I was told I looked like Russian author Maxim Gorky.  Then today I had another barbecue with some co-workers.  Found out my boss is a homebrewer.  Ate some really good turkey sausage.  Got high with a couple people.  niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice

Dear Blog Thread,

July the 4th was stonking fucking great. It started with hanging out at with a friend housesitting for a friend's brother, playing Risk and watching the other dudes play King's Cup. That was plenty hilarious and awesome.

Then I went to a house show, which had some pretty awesome awesome awesome bands play, and at the end the lead singer of the last band led everyone to the front of the house to set off illegal fireworks (i.e. the kind that actually propel shit into the air) in the middle of the street.

America, FUCK YEAH, indeed.

Someone accidentally replied to an email sent to a mailing list of all the current students at my college, a bunch of people made fun of her, and now my the student body is spamming itself with meme jokes. 102 replies and counting. This is the best. No, really, it's hilarious.
