I wanted to go watch but I feel that unless it is your house it is improper to stand outside the house in your underwear and a robe.

I'm going to be honest, I'm not entirely sure what the protocol is for fires but I know if it was my house I wouldn't want some half dressed dude gaping as my shit burns.

Went to the artsy-music thing that happens every first friday of the month downtown. It was fuckin cool, I hung out with my friend Max and his girlfriend and sang songs on the street corner and played guitar. I really want to sell some of my old shit to fund buying a drumset. Then I will take 3 components from that drumset and go with them downtown and we will have a band.

I am in Kingston staying with my grandma because occasionally I like to hear her tell me the same stories over and over again. I'm kidding, Grandma is awesome. Today we are going to see the boat races downtown. Old people are awesome. Plus I get to hang out with my dad, too, and he's such a cool dude.

Family! It's important.

Omigosh puppies are adorable.

(We have three now)

I just threw a dog treat to Buster, who hasn't quite grasped the whole catching-the-treat-in-midair-thing quite yet. It hit his nose, whereupon he opened his mouth to catch it, and it bounced off his nose behind him, so he quickly turned around to try and get it, and ended up losing his balance on the linoleum floor and his back legs went either way underneath them, and he was kicking them like he was swimming, trying to get at the treat three inches in front of him, and then the other puppy just casually ate it on him.

This all happened in like, five seconds, tops, and it was adorable.

While walking down the street today some kid squirted me from his apartment.  As in, I was walking along when suddenly I was hit with water, and when I looked up there was a kid holding a watergun leaning out of the window.  I flicked him off but I don't think he even saw it because he ran inside when I saw him.  This seems like something I should be pissed about (and would be pissed about if I were in nice clothes or something) but mostly it was amusing.

On my way back home I saw him squirt some couple and they seemed to react pretty much the same way I did: confused, slightly miffed, but mostly amused.

You should go find a super soaker and shoot him back.

Since tonight I am too broke to get gas and drive up to Eaton to see Will's thingy (sad face), I am doing an after dark tour of one of the graveyards in the area. If it were any graveyard, that'd be super creepy, but Spring Grove looks more like a park than anything else, so it won't be creepy, and also it's pretty old and there's some interesting tours. It sounds fun!

I'm kind of tired but at the same time it feels like mid-evening so I can't really get to sleep. Luckily tomorrow I don't have to get up at all really, so I should catch up on sleep and then get myself unjetlagged before Monday and my music summer school :)

A week on Thursday I get my A level results and find out where I'm going to uni. I'm torn between wanting to go to Cambridge (awesome teaching, copyright library, lovely college, good reputation) and wanting to go to Birmingham (able to work term-time, less hectic, can get a year-round flat due to working term-time, more social life). I guess it depends on my grades really.

Also, Emaline, good to see you back.

It was getting pretty dire, but I was hesitant because she could also be intensely sweet and caring. It didn't hurt that she was a strong woman (in terms of mentality) and rather pretty. It was kind of weird because, over the past few weeks, she'd have moments that painted her as an absolutely great person to be with, but I detailed my concerns above.

So I have been sickly on and off for about three weeks, I have been to the doctor a couple times and had medicines and got better, only to get sick again pretty much straight away.
Today I went to the doctor again because the whites of my eyes are totally red and I have this awful hacking, curl-into-a-ball can't-breathe cough, and he told me I might have whooping cough or pnuemonia and sent me to get chest x-rays but I won't find out till Thursday.
On the upside my boy is coming over to take care of me again!

This weekend was crazy, and great, and awesome, and terrible, and wonderful, all in one.

Animal Collective was alright. I waited for two hours to see them, and ended up being two people away from the stage. I got covered in paint, and had a blast, and then got squished, and started feeling horribly ill, so I had to fight my way out of the crowd. So yeah. I can't say I was disappointed buy a single band there. I ran into the singer of Glasvegas on my way back to the hotel. We chatted a bit and he gave me two kisses. Oh, guys with accents. Sigh. Boys Noize was mindblowingly amazing. So fucking good. My boyfriend had no idea who he was beforehand, and was only begrudgingly going because we were having a terrible fucking day(our ride was threatening to ditch us. in Chicago. Without a way home. Long story. We didn't do anything. Dude got in a fight with his wife.), and about three seconds into being at Boys Noize, my boyfriend was in heaven. He loved it. And he danced his ass off. And I recorded every second of it. It is fucking adorable. We got some great pictures of the bands.

Were you there yesterday?  It was all rainy and muddy but my fiancee still enjoyed it.

Yeah, I was there all weekend. The rainy muddiness was the best part, because the next two days were hellishly hot. Coupled with long lines to get water. So the rain was welcomed, because I knew we wouldn't be that lucky all weekend.

Also, Emaline, good to see you back.

Thanks. :)

Memorial service is tomorrow.

Wish me luck. I don't think it's dawned on me fully yet. I hope I don't go to pieces in front of everyone.

anyway I had a pretty boring night at work tonight, first three hours were fucking dead as hell, picked up a bit later, but not before I managed to design an elaborate machine on the back of a beer coaster for transforming boredom into diamonds and fucking dope breaks singles, by the mysterious and hermetic Egyptian magic of a tank full of cats.

You know what is a great summer night? Going down with one of your best friends and her girlfriend as she gets a tattoo, chilling in the tiny tattoo place after hours, shooting shit with the ace tattoo man who happens to be from your province, then your other friends show up with pizza, then you go bike for some vegan brownies and bean salad and come back and they're still tattooing and everything's great and you're having beer and pizza in the shop after close and life seems good and then you bike really fast home just because you can and the night is beautiful and then you get an e-mail about how some dick has vandalized the rental bikes you've been working on all summer and also oh right you've got an exam at nine in the morning fuck come on now fucking come on now really?

So, the rest of my tour is cancelled. I'm stuck at a friend's house in Nashville while the guy I was travelling with is in a country jail in Kentucky. Here's a tip, guys - if you're going to travel 3500 miles, make damn sure that the registration and tags on your car aren't expired by a year; failing THAT make fucking CERTAIN that you don't have any substance buried in the trunk that is a felony in any of the states you're traveling through.

So tour is cancelled, I have to fly back home and bail on everyone, and my friend is probably going to be in a Kentucky jail cell for a while, since he's got a $9800 bail in a state that doesn't allow you to post 10% bond - cash up front only.

This fucking sucks.

I'm tempted to throw a lot of questions at you now but I'm  just going to wish you the best of luck and hope that you manage to get things worked out.

Man, James, I'm hellsa drinking wine, and listening to jazz, and smoking, and contemplating a bath, and basically completely in a different other world, and missed that last bit. I'm still jealous of your good time. Sucks about the rest though. What happened with the bikes exactly?

3) Toast something NOBODY HAS EVER TOASTED BEFORE (cereal?)

I thought most cereals were toasted. You'd just be re-toasting it.
