Yussss! These guys are totally cool. Radical. Awesome. Well I think so, but I'm just a sucker for catchy pop. Also, the singer reminds me of Lennon. Yussss!

I've heard good things about that one. I'm still looking for dubnobasswithmyheadman.

Bought two used LPs today, The Best of Blondie and Fleetwood Mac's Rumours (whose sleeve is so yellow I think it's actually from 1977).

I saw their music video for The Comeback on Threadless.com and their other music video Very Loud and I really liked their sound.

I'm not sure what genre (obviously rock, but which subdivision, I do not know) they belong to, but I like them very much.

Greatful Dead - Workingman's Dead (the only Dead I can really stand, but it's damn good)

Check out "Blues For Allah". I only like about half the Dead I hear, but this entire album stuck with me as soon as I heard it. Brilliant stuff.

NICE TO ALL! Super nice to Jimi Blues. It has the greatest solos of his on it, I swear. Especially "Hear My Train Comin' (electric)"

This should be arriving any day now:

Alice in Wonderland concept album FTW! Especially with 5-minute bass solos!

Major Stars-IV LP
Shreddin. Indie band does heavy psych-rock complete with long guitar solos and pull it off beautifully with a loud factor of 10 and a wank factor of 0.

X-Under The Big Black Sun LP
Whenever I listen to an X LP I always feel like listening to it twice in a row. First for the hard drivin music and then for the insightful humorous lyrics. This one has no trouble delivering amply.

Epoxies - Stop The Future

Awesome album.

Anyways, I got "End Hits" and "Steady Diet of Nothing" by Fugazi last week. End Hits has some absolutely killer songs as well as a few that are kinda...uhhhhh. Steady Diet is pretty cool, not much else to say about that one.

Oh, an J Church's "Society is a Carnivorous Flower" arrived in the mail three days ago- I owned a couple 7"s but not a full length, and the speed of the music on this one was surprising. The title track is a 14-minute fast-and-catchy-as-hell punk song.

Prince- Sign of the Times

Overall, this one is pretty good. Not his best (Purple Rain, 1999, and Diamonds and Pearls) but still good. My main beef is the mix on the 1st disc. It seems a bit muffled and restrained. The 2nd disc is Beatlesesque in perfection though.

The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots

I know I was late buying it, but even so I spent my train fare on it and ended up stuck in Chesterfield a long time before randomly turning up on someones doorstep asking for a lift to Sheffield. Fortunately that someone has a mother who feeds me well :D

Jawbox - For Your Own Special Sweetheart

It has been out of print for like 10 years now and I managed to get a copy. But I have to import it from the USA, so it will take a while.

Also, not a CD, but I'm still damn happy about it: The Complete Calvin & Hobbes Collection. YES!
