Looking for new bands

I would suggest the Futureheads, the Fiery Furnaces, The VonBondies and Queens of the Stone Age. They are all good bands.

Since nobody said it yet, I'd suggest Ben Kweller.
But I'm mostly into jazz (and hiphop)... if you want suggestions on that line, let me know.

Check out H.P. Lovecraft, Dinosaur Jr., or Bats & Mice, too. You might like Owls & Cap'n Jazz as well

I think The Smiths is, like, assumed.
It's almost like suggesting Ice Cream flavours... no one is ever going to say: "Dude, you should really try some vanilla."
