Well, to be fair, my mate who told me to put it on asked me what I thought and I thought to myself, 'I can't stand to insult google', so I said, "well, errr, it's certainly minimalist". That said, every google product ever spends forever in beta, I'm sure it's gonna get better.

Some of their products never get touched again; some never make it out of beta.  Their approach is to just dump wads of things on the market and achieve dominance that way.

how can you trash on a clean, stripped down client that dumps to XML?

some of us dont want to even touch MSN anymore. We dont do Webcam, and animated typing is retarded. Personally, I think this is a step in the right direction.

Because Trillian is probably the best client I've used since day one?  It logs everything the way I want to, looks the way I want it to, and talks to all protocols.

Threatis:
i used Trillian for a while, but have since moved to Gaim, for me, the less, the better.
