Remix albums
Not An Addict:
I didn't like Bjork's remix album at all. A lot of the remixes are stretched and bloated into something completely removed from the original, which is okay...but the originals are a lot more coherent. And catchy.
Paula Abdul's Shut Up and Dance, now there's a good remix album. Really.
soak:
The K&D Sessions are great to just lose yourself in.
Kid Amnesiac:
I only own one remix album.
Isis - Oceanic: Remixes/Reinterpretations
It's about 60% good, and 40% meh. You gotta be deep in da Isis to really appreciate it.

--- Quote from: KharBevNor ---I used to swear by the remixes you'd get on Rammstein singles, and Clawfingers remix of 'Du Hast' and the 'There Are No Guitar on this Remix' version of Mein Teil are still pretty classic.

I'm a fan of the Clawfinger K.O remix of Sonne. It's the only remix I've heard of a Rammstein song, with the exception of the Eskimos and Igloos remix of Rammstein itself.
In other news, I have to admit to really enjoying the Sarah McLachlan Remixed album. The BT and William Orbit remixes in particular are awesome.
kevin.:
the faint : blank wave arcade and danse macabre remixed.
her space holiday - young machines remxed (all star cast on this one, broken spindles, matmos, arab strap, etc)
tristeza - mixed signals ( dream signals remixed)
all really good. the remixes on the bonus disc to royksopp's meloday a.m are ok too.
