live disappointments

Iwan:
One of my favourite bands, Ancient Rites.

And you know what the worst thing was? It wasn't even their fault. Some idiot spilled beer over the P.A.-control panel which fucked  up their sound.

Outshined:
In my experience, live shows are very much a hit or miss deal.  For example, people have cited Modest Mouse as having a very good or very awful show.  My bet is that they are both right, and on any given day, the quality of the show will depend on how plastered the band gets before they play.  I suspect this is true of other bands, as well.

I was about to say. Hearing 'And the Hordes Stood as One' has moved them right to the top of the list of bands I want to see live for some time.

Iwan:
Oh, I want to see them again... And then I'll be watching over the PA with some tasers in my hand, fully charged and ready to use.

You'll be surprised to see them... A lot has changed since the recording of "...And the hordes stood as one": Yrlund was kicked out of the band, they pulled back in Vandereycken, hired an extra guitarplayer which makes that there will be 3 (!) guitarplayers on the stage. And on top of that, their former keyboardplayer has returned to play the bass.
Imagine that, 10 years ago, they were only a three piece band, now you have 7 members on the stage...

There is a big chance you might see them. In a couple of months, their new album "Rubicon" should be released. Fingers crossed!

Kelamin:
The Prodigy

I'd heard that they were good live and had some live things of their stuff, so i was expecting a good show, unfortunately i was very dissappointed. It was ok, but not something i would bust my balls to go see again. Fortunately i saw them at a festival so my money wasn't wasted.

I love teh BDO
