One thing I find quite odd is how often someone claims something is rude simply because it makes them uncomfortable to think about or to admit that they don't know or understand. E.I. it's more rude that you're pointing it out to them, not the person that's being pointed at.

The way I see it, it's just an extension from "we do not comment on other people's bodies", which is what I'm teaching my kids as well.

She's most likely made of Jello, not slime. Slime drips all over the place and leaves a trail. No dripping. Can't verify the lack of trail, however.. Still, it would be bad form for an employee of any company or institution to leave a slime trail; even in Canada. Though a poutine trail might be acceptable.

To be honest, I found Gyrre's comment confusing, but I agree with Farideh anyway.

Sorry, I made that on the last break of a 12 hour shift ([sarcasm] yay holiday schedules).

The mom in that last panel didn't explain the 'why' to her son[1], so her reasoning was ambiguous [2]. The second part was a very rambly way of me saying I still don't understand a large chunk of what normies consider 'rude'[3]. In my own personal experience, sometimes the 'rude' thing makes someone uncomfortable (like if it makes them confront their own mortality). Accomodation stuff usually makes sense but admittedly has to be pointed out sometimes[4].

[3] Things that are inconsiderate or a matter of personal safety (like not outting someone) are easy to grok as being rude so long as I'm not too stuck in my own head that day.

I know that I already replied to this, but I was thinking more about the subject.  There are plenty of meatbags walking around this world who seem to almost spontaneously start leaking if allowed around anything sharp, and I must admit that I'm sometimes one of them.  Then again, we didn't get any choice in the matter, but we do rather odd things for the sake of fashion or just "cool" that are just as daft.

And thinking more about Moray's chassis, the membrane probably such that with sufficient goo pressure/viscosity, she is able to retain enough rigidity to even stand, but if it's flexible enough for her to really move around at all, she probably does move in a rather odd manner.

Because turkey day, here's some biography facts about Tisquantum ("Squanto") you may not have learned about in school. (Copy/pasted because I'm lazy)

[spoiler= long post is long]Tisquantum, more commonly known as Squanto, was a member of the Patuxet tribe best known for being an early liaison between the Native American population in Southern New England and the Mayflower Pilgrims who made their settlement at the site of Tisquantum's former summer village. The Patuxet tribe had lived on the western coast of Cape Cod Bay, but they were wiped out by an epidemic infection, likely brought by previous European explorers.

Tisquantum was kidnapped by English explorer Thomas Hunt who trafficked him to Spain, where he sold him in the city of Málaga. He was among a number of captives bought by local monks who focused on their education and evangelization. Tisquantum eventually traveled to England, where he may have met Pocahontas, a Native American from Virginia, in 1616–1617. He then returned to America in 1619 to his native village, only to find that his tribe had been wiped out by an epidemic infection; Tisquantum was the last of the Patuxets, and went to live with the Wampanoags.

The Mayflower landed in Cape Cod Bay in 1620, and Tisquantum worked to broker peaceable relations between the Pilgrims and the local Pokanokets. He played a key role in the early meetings in March 1621, partly because he spoke English. He then lived with the Pilgrims for 20 months, acting as an interpreter, guide, and advisor. He introduced the settlers to the fur trade and taught them how to sow and fertilize native crops; this proved vital, because the seeds which the Pilgrims had brought from England mostly failed. As food shortages worsened, Plymouth Colony Governor William Bradford relied on Tisquantum to pilot a ship of settlers on a trading expedition around Cape Cod and through dangerous shoals. TL;DR: Tisquantum and Samoset spent part of their 20s escaping a Spanish monastery and making their way back to England to catch a boat ride back home only to find Squanto's people had died off. The Pilgrims made landfall soon after, and Tisquantum earned a sainthood keeping themselves from getting themselves killed for being too British (some diaries mention digging up burial mounds and stealing grave goods).
