Actually it's more to do with what Mberan posted not too long ago about how maybe we could have a bit less repetitiveness in the Pointless thread and a lot more new funny things. When I see something six times in one thread it sort loses it's funny(or becomes no longer interesting), ya know? Something that we can easily see(like a commercial that has not only been posted all over the internet, or is constantly on tv) really doesn't need to be posted.

Man yeah it would be awesome if we lived in some utopian society where everyone was aware of every post made on the forums but really that is not practical, especially considering that the guy who posted the link has less than 50 posts. And for my part, as someone who does watch American TV and has only seen that ad once before, I quite enjoyed being reminded of it! I guess maybe I am just suggesting it would be cool if we didn't take a pointless thread too seriously. It's meant to be fun and a little repetition is a) inevitable and b) not gonna kill you. Whining about it only ends up shitting up the thread with conversations like this (which I am willing to take some responsibility for!)

I don't know what was worse, the Kid's Choice Awards or the fact I thought watching it would be a good idea to watch it. That there was the best part, even if the skit with Jonah Hill made me cringe with every line he said.

In reference to your question, Emaline, it's a reference to an old computer game called <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conway%27s_game_of_life>Conway's Game of Life[/url]. The "glider" is a shape that you can make in the game that replicates itself indefinitely. Hence "Life" cereal would be more appropriate for that gimmick if you are a huge math nerd.

Also, Zombiedude, how often do you change your avatar, man? Or is it set on some kind of rotation?

Finland has a fairly high national suicide rate, and that's after lowering it by about 40% in the last 15 years through some widespread emphasis on extending treatment options and such.

Hell, back in the early 90's, Finland had the highest national rate of teen suicides and was in the running for #1 overall.
