I wear leggings to bum around the house.
I also want a good quality pair of jeggings but I can't be bothered looking.

i like wearing leggings with skirts/dresses because they slim down my giant, freakish muscle legs and generally make them slightly more bearable to look at. by which i mean i wear them with one dress because i only own one dress. man i should buy more dresses.

I bought some leggings recently to see what the big deal was about. I have worn them almost constantly since I got the! I have a few short dresses and a pair of fairly short shorts that I wear to work and want to not flash anyone, and my lord they are comfortable. Wearing shorts with leggings means that I don't have all this pale leg showing and people don't focus on how short my shorts are. Also I have issues with my thighs being wibbly, and leggings make that less obvious. Yay Leggings!

I was like, yeah what Tania owns a skirt? I mean not that I think you shouldn't wear a skirt but yeah, I am trying to imagine it and I'm having trouble.

Leggins are around-the-house wear for me, and good for layering in the winter (long johns basically). I think they look completely terrible with shoes though, so the public is spared the sight of my butt in spandex unless that public happens to attend the church across the street from my house and I go get the mail, because fuck them.

Old Navy, me hearty.

(Apparently if you use the code "ONGET30", every damn thing on their site is 30% off.)

(I don't know why I'm putting it in parentheses like it's a secret or something..it was all big when I went to the site in the first place)

I just found out that Modcloth international orders over $100 get 10% off.
I could have saved a lot of money by now. Like... $50.
Oh well!

I just bought this cardigan and this shirt.

I also got these off Etsy.

Now I just need to buy some more skirts and shorts.

Aww, thanks buddy. I might go try one on at an Old Navy store to see if the small fits, usually they go. And to see if it isn't too boxy for a lady with curves!

Old Navy's sizes usually run large, so I think a small will either fit you or be a little big.

Their men's small t-shirts usually fit about right but hoodies and sweaters are always big.

I know this because I use myself as a size checker when I shop for my brother. He and I wear almost the same size in clothing, so if I am looking at something for him I just try it on myself. It is pretty handy.

I have a few different shirts that beg to differ.

It's weird. They're all the same size. Some fit brilliantly, and some (mostly the western ones) are a bit snug.

Well, I only buy sweaters and knit tops there (like t-shirts, etc) because their button up shirts don't fit my arms. And they almost always run large for me. Same with their pants.

I love that blue blouse. (I'll use your old lady word Dovey).

Thank you all for you leggings input, the store was out of the next size down so I am going to try to shrink these and make due.

I got a new skirt today and a new pair of pants.  They are both Ralph Lauren.  I didn't even know Ralph Lauren came in plus sizes.  They are also my first name brand clothing since I was 4 (when I had a Lacoste shirt for some reason).  I have a job at Macy's and they were on the clearance rack so with my discount they were less than $25 each.  I think I'm going to wear the skirt to thanksgiving, though I'm not sure what to wear it with.  Most of what I own is turquoise or purple.  Here it is with my end of the day hair and my "did you take the picture yet?" smile:

Your bathroom,

Anywhoo, a nice white or grey top would go really well with it. Possibly a cardigan thing? You've got a lot of options on colors since the skirt is just black and white, pretty much any neutral tone will work with it.

It looks kinda navy blue and yellowy cream to me. I'd wear it with a nice cream blouse, tucked in even. And some comfy sandals. Maybe an accessory of a co-ordinating colour, like a flower or a silk scarf.

I love that skirt! That is the kind of skirt I have been looking for! I would go for a pale greyish top, something paler than the skirt but also matching somehow.

I'd wear it with a coordinating light colored blouse (cream maybe?) and a cardigan (light grey would look really nice). And flats or heels that go with the darker color (can't tell if it's navy or black) would go nicely with it.

Yeah, it is blue and pale yellow.  Ima cruise the clearance racks today to see if there is a suitable top, otherwise I have a nice grey sweater that might work.

Probably a "top" or even a "shirt". You are correct, though, because if anything is a "blouse", that is it.

Yeah I only remembered they were cracked AFTER going stomping through a swamp.
I bought some red ones to replace them but they're a bit too big so they give me blisters, and all the red has rubbed off the toes and looks really ugly.

My red ones are the same as yours Lunchy, only mine are a size 5 and I am a 4. I wore them solidly for about six weeks after I bought them and braved the blisters, and now they're the comfiest shoes I own, albeit a little bit chilly now the weather's turning. I wear them pretty much every day.

I wore them every day for several months when I worked in the cafe, but now I can wear shoes that are way less bulky and easier to put on and take off! This is more important to me.
Also Gem! They are leather boots, how on earth do they get chilly? Is there some other magical boot I do not know about that has heating pads inside?

I don't know, maybe the wind gets in because I never actually do them up properly, I just leave them tied up as they are and pull them on and off. I would totally pay for a pair of boots with heating pads, though.

Leather totally gets chilly when it doesn't have much padding? At least if you don't wear wool socks inside and it's like -5°C or colder.

I really, really, really wanted these, but they were sold out before my mom got a chance to order them for me for Christmas :( So annoying.

One of Sam's Canadian friends gave me a legit pair of snow boots, (not dissimilar from these) which is nice because the only other shoes I have that are even slightly suitable were my Wolverine black leather steel-caps that I was talking about a few months ago in here. When I've worn them in the snow, they're still freezing cold when I go to put them on the next day, even if I leave them directly under a heating duct.

I would totally pay for a pair of boots with heating pads, though.

My mom bought me shoe inserts that warm up for Christmas one year as a stocking stuffer. They were adhesive on one side and you tack them on to either your foot or your sock before you put your shoes on and voila! Warm toes. They were pretty dang awesome and worked pretty well. (They worked for one day, but on those super cold days or days when I'd go sledding or something, they were the best thing.)
