Am I the only one who noticed a Mother song in the Stage Creator update?

Either they're packing a lot of random music in this game or there's more Mother/Earthbound stuff coming. Happy-da.

This is just fucking ridiculous at this point. How many goddamn features is he going to cram into this game? .

not only that, but incase you guys missed it, you can submit a stage to Nintendo with the Wii and the best stage of the day will get sent to everyone's Wii. So there will be literally a new stage to try out every single day. Will there even be TIME for us to create a stage of our own?

I told my friend(who is far lazy to actually post here) about this comment, and she posed the question of the girl being a gamer that would totally pwn you without losing a single life.
To which I promptly replied that i would have to dump her anyway for such horrid emasculation, or I would marry her on the spot.

Lucas's specail moves are cloned with ness's :| I REALLY hope they don't do this again! Though.... from the looks of it I doubt Ness is making a return. I think Lucas will be replacing him.

Also, Wouldnt it be cool if Lucas' different costumes were other characters from the series?

Like I said, I believe Sakurai said in an interview somewhere that all of the 12 characters from the original Smash Brothers would be in the game. Which means that Captain Falcon, Luigi, and Ness, even if they haven't been announced are likely to be in the game. At least, I would be pretty surprised if they were taken out.

Wind Waker was mediocre in comparison to Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and Twilight Princess.

And todays's update is blah.. Norfair. (Like we didn't already know?)

Mediocre? Personally I thought it beat the everloving shit out of all three of you mentioned. For one the combat was actually fun.

Norfair was expectedsure, but then again they do have to make enough updates to cover another 3 months. Jesus though, some of the kick ass new characters (Dedee!) they've announced so far I'm excited as hell to find out who the secret characters are.

Crazy like a person who enjoys good video games.
You can enjoy them, sure, but that doesn't mean you're priorities are in place when referring to which are the best. :P (Kidding)

As for "Combat being fun" in Zelda games? Zelda II takes the cake easily. Sorry, but in terms of fighting even simpler opponents, nothing beats those Iron Knuckles.

And part of the reason that Ocarina of Time was better than Wind Waker was the lack of that damned Triforce Fetch-Quest. So because, you know, it was possible to die in Wind Waker.  :| The combat isn't fun when there is no challenge whatsoever, in my opinion. At least Twilight Princess sometimes had THAT.

And Majora's Mask easily had the greatest difficulty of all the 3D Zelda games.

I think if you go by what it did for it's time Wind Waker's fails miserably compared to Ocarina, but overall I enjoyed Windwaker a lot more. The art style, combat, the ending (oh god the ending) and overall feel of the game just felt absolutely perfect to me and it dissapoints me a lot that I'm 99% certain that they'll never touch that kind of Zelda game again for home console due to the incessant bitching.

It's like a sex really. You love 3 different positions, but at the end of the night you still got a preference.

For me, the Fetch Quest was about as annoying as all of the non boss combat in Ocarina. I swear I spent 70% of OoT avoiding fighting anything because combat was so goddamn tedious. I take fun over "dying of boredom" in combat anyday. At least in Wind Waker I had some treasure hunting to do in between all of the sailing.

It's also kinda hard to compare Zelda II to any other Zelda in my mind. It's not even the same genre. I liked it quite a lot, but an Action/Platformer/RPG can't really be compared to an Adventure game in gameplay terms.

..Right right, Smash.. umm.. only 3 more months?

This is why I don't understand the delay complaints. I haven't even finished Metroid Prime 3 yet, and once I'm done that, I've got Gears of War and Dead Rising on loan from my brother as well as Ultimate Alliance and the Orange Box. THEN Mario Galaxy...

Shit, guys! Somebody play my games for me!!!

I really have no clue how I'm going to handle getting through Galaxy and Mass Effect at the same time. This is especially a problem since I tried The Witcher the other day and loved it, but I really don't need another 40+ hour game on my plate right now. My willpower is terrible though.

[/img]

I'm not sure why majora's mask has been so glorfied. The game sucked like nothing else, the clock system was rediculious. The mask system was just cheesy. Ocarina of Time remains the best, with all of the knowlege they have today i kind of wish they would remake it.

anyways, back to smash bros brawl :)

actully this is pretty new, before they had Brinstar [which had lava rise from underneath] and Brinstar's Depths [which had Kraid in it]. Norfair looks completely new, for 1 the lava comes from more than one place and doesn't just come from below. There's lava waves that come from the backround and they even have the first appearnce of the actul Metriod hatches.

Guys. It's hard to say which is worse: the two sets of quote tunnels in a row, or the fact that people are quoting posts directly above their own. Both are considered to be in poor form as quote tunnels (Quoting a quote of a quote of a quote and so on) slows down peoples' internet connections and quoting the post directly above you is completely unnecessary as it's right there for all of us to read, anyway (Plus it's things like that that lead to quote tunnels).

I didn't mind the Triforce quest because I was going to search every square of the map for junk anyway.

Majora's Mask was seriously and ridiculously awesome, BTW, and OoT was Link to the Past, but more boring, shorter, and worse.

yeah I take that back, A Link to the Past was the best Zelda game ever made. Nintendo has GOTTA remake that one into 3D. I liked how Twilight Princess kind of "brought back" the dark world [AKA the twilight realm]. If anyone caught onto that, the elements in the twlight realm were identical to "a link to the past's" dark world

If by 'identical' you mean 'kinda similar but not actually the same in any way', sure.

They weren't even the same place in concept. LttP's 'dark realm' was the Golden Realm corrupted by Ganon. Twilight Princess's twilight realm was just some parallel universe to Hyrule.

And it was way less cool anyway.
